Farmers Inside Please
What is the rough value of a trailer of potatoes.
That is straight from the field, market value. |
About 37.
|
Hahaha WTF! I know I'm (relatively) new to all this. But a trailer of potatoes? I thought this is 'where the industry meets'. WHAT industry exactly?

:warning Warning! Trailers of potatoes! :warning
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YhOmXgoM4J...estroy-car.jpg I'd call the grocery store and ask what the rate is if they're buying and such. |
Farmers over here in the UK used to get around £125 per tonne but with the summer being really wet this year I guess they are getting more
|
Square ones or triangle ones?
|
75 cents a pound here.
|
Potatoes are about $1 for five pounds here retail. A little more for fancy varieties if you're willing to package them to make them attractive to idiots that don't realize that one potato tastes EXACTLY the same as any other potato.
I wouldn't pay more than 25 cents per pound for the finest PEI potatoes. Way less than half that for the thin-skinned, greenish shit that other provinces call "potatoes". Its Bud the Spud from the bright red mud, rolling down the highway smiling.... |
if their stolen half their value :2 cents:
|
If you make a moonshine out of it, it will grately appreciate in value :thumbsup
|
Looks like here in Canada the prices are going to be pretty stable at $250-270 / Tonne. Seems potatoes were one of the few crops affected by this summer's drought. Hay, on the other hand.. has doubled if not tripled this year, which royally sux.

i like farming

We only know the value of cabbage on GFY.
Based on the run down houses surrounding cabbage fields we also know its not worth much. |
