3rd debate, who do you feel won? Obama or Romney?

Is it just me or did I hear Romney pretty much agree with everything Obama said or did already?

I think Romney did not really stand out nor did Obama either actually so I think Obama came out slighty better :2 cents:

Theo 10-22-2012 07:51 PM

They both actually seemed to agree with each other.

Relentless 10-22-2012 08:04 PM

Hard to change the status quo when your 'argument' is that you will continue the status quo.

Mutt 10-22-2012 08:07 PM

useless debate, the average voter couldn't care less about foreign policy this election year - Obama won because he is the Commander in Chief. but Romney was the real winner, he made no flubs, he came off as reasonable and presidential and the momentum that is all his right now wasn't derailed tonight.

barring any major surprises in the next two weeks I think Romney wins - Romney's mission is to just keep smiling, repeating the same message, nothing controversial.

The bottom line is the economy still sucks after 4 years of Obama and Romney looks like a reasonable capable alternative.

keysync 10-22-2012 08:10 PM

Only saw last half.
Romney won that IMO.
When they were arguing about whether or not Romney called for managed bankruptcy of GM with govt guarantees and Obama said he didn't say that.
Directly after the debate the news quoted the Romney OpEd piece where he said exactly that quote for quote... Barry got that one wrong and sitting there stomping his foot telling Romney he was wrong over and over made him look pretty bad to me.

I am just wondering, did the first debate changed your opinion as to seeing Romney as a real candidate?

Mutt 10-22-2012 08:24 PM

i wouldnt vote Romney but yes the first debate and the other two made him look like a viable next POTUS alternative to a sitting President who's had little impact on the bad economy he inherited and people don't really care about the explanations/excuses why - Obama was unlucky, he walked into a hornet's nest and the Republicans have become such mean spirited obstructionists that it made his job harder.

If Romney gets in he'll have a much easier time making compromises with the Democrats.

the odds makers disagree with you. the national polls are all tight, with gallup being an outlier.

the battleground polls are where it's at. the truth of the matter is that Obama can lose Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, and Florida and still win the election. If Romney loses any of those, especially Ohio, he is done.

When Nate says it's over. I'll believe it. Right now he, Intrade, and Vegas have Obama at 2/3 odds of winning.

i'm not saying i know anything, just my gut feeling. Romney does have the momentum, it's only a month ago Obama looked like a lock to breeze back in.

Captain Kawaii 10-22-2012 08:31 PM

Romney is a buffoon. He spent most of the night lying then agreeing then making shit up.

If he gets in, US is doomed.
He should be running for election in Israel.

I am no true fan of the DEMS. But when Obama introduced Romney to the concept of submarines and air craft carriers, I had to bust out laughing.

Romney only knows what his Masters want him to know. He is just the flipside of Bush the Lesser. At least Romney can run a successful business and not every biz he has had into the ground.

Evil Chris 10-22-2012 08:32 PM

Obama is a poor communicator (public speaking) but he has way more substance in what he's actually saying.

I think both are just political establishment, if you really want to see radical changes you need a complete new candidate from neither party but I don't think that's every gonna happen.

Is that the Republican talking point pushing back on the hilarious bayonet line?

All bayonet weapons are either retired or being phased out (literally as I'm typing this). With the last one being the M7 that attaches to the M16 and M4A1.

There is a replacement, but it's a dying weapon.

That someone is Sean Hannity. All of the Republicans are furiously retweeting his tweets.

What I said still stands and what Obama said still makes sense. He didn't say bayonets weren't being used...he said there were less of them.

Romney presents himself as very knowledgeable and very strong. The other jackass just wants to preach how well he has done for 4 years and take shots at Romney (which he just smiles off)... My vote Romney

SmutHammer 10-22-2012 10:41 PM

I think everyone has already made their minds up on who they will vote for. These debates and commercials are now pointless.

I hope you realize that if you vote Romney, you're voting for a person which is against our industry 100%. :disgust

fogfever 10-22-2012 10:45 PM

I think it was pretty even, so that could be considered a loss for Romney because he really needed to win this one.

CyberHustler 10-22-2012 10:47 PM

Obama won the first one too, with facts. Mitt won the Oscar though.

This is the problem with America, Everyone only wants what is best for them right this second. Romney will be much better for the future of the United States.

In my opinion it's the exact opposite. especially for the third debate, Something Obama has actual experience in. For Romney to even hang in this debate is a win.

AdultEUhost 10-22-2012 11:11 PM

i don't think Romney made any mistakes this debate other than that he didn't had his facts straight

I think Obama is smarter, but Mittens is stronger.

Mittens looks like a bigger guy. Taller, broader shoulders. When he talks he talks louder than Obama, and he holds that robot-like smug grin on his face so perfectly no matter what is going on you can't tell if he's going to kiss you or kill you.

Obama is smarter, but quieter. While Mittens spews out lies and talking points and bullshit loudly and with some conviction, Obama just seems to sit there and take it. He kind of reminds me of Jon Stewart when being talked-down to by giant-sized Bill O'Reiley. They speak quietly but carry a big stick.

I hope Obama wins.

GrantMercury 10-22-2012 11:45 PM

President Obama made Willard his lil' bitch.

Obama 2012.

I tend to agree. Obama hasn't done the greatest job of listing the facts, and his accomplishments. So people don't know, and that's not good.

No Pres is perfect, but Obama is a much better option than Mitt the human windsock.

Massachusetts citizens have more debt than any state. They are voting for Obama. They know the damage Romney causes.

I love the pass you give Romney on foreign policy even though he wants to ramp up the military. I guess you gave the same pass to Palin when she saw Russia?

To me it seems Obama and Romney genuinely don't like eachother though

Here in the Netherlands we just had elections, there was one TV show which had a factcheck team who researched two quotes of both parties during the show. Was far from what it should be as it is way all way too nice and friendly but at least the viewer got an idea if someone was really talking nonsense or not

No...they do not have more debt than any other state...not even close to more debt...but they may have more per capita debt.

Obama 2012.

Because he will cut unnecessary expenses.

He will not punish people for being successful.

He will help put us back on the road to recovery. and will get rid of Obama care.

And I believe once again with hard work we will be able to make a future for ourselves. The way Obama is planing on taxing businesses there is no reason to even try.

I also like the 1st Regiments (USA) use on their dress blues drills.

I love the punishing people for being successful line. Romney should have said those words on national TV last night. It would be the only thing on today's news with people asking WTF was he smoking. It's just so off the scale radical.

Yeah, the whole idea of a debate about "foreign policy" was a waste of time.

There really is nothing but nuances in policy for those two to disagree with.

Too bad they didn't let Gary Johnson in the debate: http://www.garyjohnson2012.com/issues/foreign-policy

THEN we would have had an interesting debate.

it doesn't matter what is said or done, ed thinks that obama is the reason he couldn't afford a down payment on a nice home so he is voting for romney.
