video format for paysite
 

Hello!

I'm done with video editing and I'm looking for advice on what format the customer like the most for their porn video.

The video are for a paysite with exclusive content

So far I think to give them 720p quality in mp4.

Will they get mad that I dont upload 1080 format? Is MKV a better idéa that mp4?

MP4 is not windows media player compatible and needs 3rd party player = a BIG fail in my book ...

MP4 is great for MOST devices if wrapped in an h.264 container, you can play this format in a flash player, but covers more devices than flash itself.

You should also encode a webm format, and if you want to cover all your bases, then create an ogv format as well. The new html5 video tag will cover what you need, or a good player such as jwplayer. This isn't 1998, stop listening to dumb fucks.

So I understand that to cover the mobile device user and the pc user, I have to good with multiple format so everyone get what he want.

h.264 in mp4 and WMV9.

eh eh ... doesnt that sentence make your rest ad absurdum? MP4 (or MKV or OGG) is the container for the h264 content ... and wmp DOES not play mp4 by default ... hence people need to install a new player = not user friendly format ... and since very few ppl have a FOURCC editor ... waste of words ... install windows and try to play mp4 files :321GFY

What cms are you using? I give mp4, wmv, mpeg and flv each in two different sizes.

I upload a 1080P 12000 kbps video for the source and Elevated X makes the other formats for me.

though 720p is HD, In this bizz most only consider 1080P to be HD.
