Is there anyway to roll back display to classic... classic anything? XP? 2000? Even Vista frack...
Can you get a directory tree, view files the way I'm used to? :D |
That prolly won´t help if you have ADDH.

I downloaded it the other day for $14.95 but have not installed yet. My 120 gig ssd doesn't have enough room on it :(

How many threads do we need of this same topic
|
I'm going to download it and then go shit.
|
I think I should hurry up and buy a desktop so I'm not stuck with windows 8 :(
|
I'll wait for the bugs to get worked out first
|
Haven't found or heard of any good reason to change to it yet.
|

Just like any version of Windows you can change how it looks. I have my "tiles" set up the way I want them with my programs (or apps as they are called now). I also have my desktop as one of my tiles so I can use it the "old way" with one click.
Put this on my main work machine 2 days ago. No problems at all so far. |

So true. it is complete garbage imo |
Damn, I thought you only had a netbook after getting jacked.
|
Been running it since it became available on MSDN... I can honestly say that so far I am not the biggest fan. I've been holding off building a new PC (running on a PC from 2006!) and figure that if/when I upgrade next year on Intel's new architecture, I'll probably use Windows 7.
I dunno about you guys but something just doesn't seem efficient enough about it. For example, the whole pressing Windows key and typing is meant to be faster than clicking the button in 7 and previous versions. But personally I found the Windows key more efficient prior to 8. |
There is no way im using that

You can customize it up quite a bit...it doesn't have to be that cartoony default style.
That's just your start menu anyways. You spend most of your Windows time looking at a desktop as it's always been since 1995. I'm not a fanboy or anything and don't give much of a fuck what OS people use but it's not that bad. Honestly the whole thing feels more like a Windows 7 service pack than a whole new OS. |

Can it boot to the normal desktop by default. Do i have to see this screen at all? And why are there people saying you need to buy some software to get your old desktop back? It's confusing. And even more that nobody will make it clear. |

WTF is this : http://twistedbydesigns.com/bs.png Worst of all, the icon sizes aren't customizable, so it makes what could be a good feature fuckin' retarded. |

Looks like it can be done, via an app. It's gotta be a setting though, a little daring to dump that in everyones face without a way to turn it off. :Oh crap |
