Disney's on a tear. Great work on the Marvel acquisition. Looks like Eisner's tenure is well-eclipsed by Iger and Co.

Disney has went from cute child movies to movie powerhouse.

We are talking about the movie branch here. They went from kids movies to movie powerhouse, like I said. They have been buying studios and big titles like crazy. |
great news, for them.

Now, if they would only kill off jar jar binks...... What a disappointment :(

They're gonna fuck it up.

After the last three star wars movies and the new Indiana Jones I can honestly say
THERE IS NO WAY THAT DISNEY CAN FUCK UP THESE FRANCHISES WORSE THAN LUCAS FILMS |
Does this acquisition include rights to the Indiana Jones franchise...at least to some extent?

they have made some very cool films and are a very stable companies for years. I feel this could be a good thing for the movies and everything around it.

I don't know what to think of this - they did do very well with Marvel - but wow
|
It doubt it could get any worse than the last trilogy. Lucas proved he can't make good movies anymore and thankfully wasn't going to make any more. He will remain as "creative adviser" but won't have much control. The two choices are: let the series die, or have someone else take over. I can't think of a company better leveraged to do so than Disney.
