Traffic and then assume that equates to members.

Not sure, but in terms of branding, only Bang Bros, RK, and Brazzers comes to mind when I think online hardcore porn.

What got me thinking is, X-Art is pretty huge. Pretty close in numbers to RK.com with just looking at alexa.

Met-Art is pretty big, and they are still ccbill. I guess it is unreasonable to expect to find a huge site I have never heard of. Oxymoron as it were.

I cannot stand Brazzer's style porn. Not a dig on them as people seem to like it but it is not for me. RK was ok but the repeated theme for each site got old. Xgf sites and now babe or glamor porn. It is cool that the trends just keep coming. People get bored with stuff.

Just like Digital Playground movies, see a couple of brazzers movies and you have seen them all.

Brazzers only produce porn movies so that they have something to update their tubes with.

I'm sure Fabian will claim otherwise, but if Brazzers really is the biggest paysite I'd bet that it's nowhere near the size of paysites before piracy and full members areas being given away for free.

I don't see why that makes any difference at all if you're counting traffic.
NO members area is ever gonna have massive traffic. The traffic that is gonna get counted on sites like Alexa all comes from the tour for any and every site.

And the tour is the marketing end of it. Hosted galleries are really nothing more than an extension of the tour. And should definitely be counted as part of a websites popularity.

If a gallery sucks...it might get looked at once. If the content on the gallery is hot...then it's gonna get looked at a lot.

I agree, and I'm surprised that while x-art.com is not quite as popular as rk.com, they appear to be in the same league. I'm not nearly as familiar with x-art as I am with the rk.com name brand.

those 3 companies are like home depot & lowes. Their market saturation makes people think they they have the best tools & their are companies like Snap On tools which are by far better but you dont see a snap on store every 13 miles.

As far as members. I think it's reasonable to assume brazzers is the single biggest paysite.

Because lets say a site converts 1/2000. If half the traffic is going ot galleries which convert 1/40,000, it throws off this comparison.

Since not all pay site structures are set up the same, and no one is opening their books there's no way to know. Personally only care about the sites I make money with. can say with certainty not a single one would be considered big to most affiliates, and I do alright :)

Exactly. All the so-called "big" sites (like Brazzers) are pretty generic. Same girls fucking the same guys with a house director who is burnt out from shooting so many scenes and trying to make up "scenarios" on the fly.

The creativity gets squeezed dry under that kind of environment.

So the smaller sites you are promoting probably have a lot more personal touch and loving care put into them.

Fabian will never shoot his own porn (and never has). So he has employees doing it for him.

And just that little tiny difference between an employee collecting a paycheck VS a guy who is emotionally invested in his work can be the difference between generic porn and good porn that sells.
