Argo

What a great fucking movie! :thumbsup

Haven't seen...

xNetworx 11-05-2012 09:05 AM

Looked very 70s authentic but I thought the action sequences were lackluster. Still a good movie but I think the critics over hyped it.

HelmutKohl 11-05-2012 09:50 AM

Truly enjoyed that movie :thumbsup Based on true story.

I wouldn't really call it an action movie per se... or even a thriller really... it is a historical drama about a famous real life "super spy".

The attempt to add action (stuff that didn't happen in real life) was almost unnecessary imho.

Great story, good acting, decent film.

i have to agree here.. Despite me thinking it was pretty good I truly don't understand how this movie is getting 95% ratings on rotten tomatoes.. i guess that binary system isn't exactly fool proof given that it doesn't really show how MUCH critics enjoyed it ;)

flight was pretty refreshing though, saw that last night. took some odd turns and not as predictable as most.

icymelon 11-05-2012 10:33 AM

my favorite this year

There's a misplaced love affair with Ben Affleck as a director recently. But his movies are getting better each time.

I liked it, but not as earth shattering as its been made out to be.

yeah I feel the same way about his directing. he has done some decent films already and he IS getting better. much better at that than he is at acting anyway..

Red Ezra 03-10-2013 05:06 AM

I just watched this movie and I thought it was very well done - felt authentic and that's from someone old enough to remember the event as a kid

Vapid - BANNED FOR LIFE 03-10-2013 05:12 AM

Once your security services begin making the movies, it's so fucking over.

Antonio 03-10-2013 06:49 AM

the best movie I have seen in a long time, then again, I don't like sci-fi, vampiers, or cartoons, which pretty much eliminates 99% of the movies produced in the past few years

Theo 03-10-2013 09:20 AM

Overhyped

crockett 03-10-2013 10:41 AM

was a good movie but I thought the ending was a bit over done with the chase.

He's actually a talented actor when he is motivated, but he got a shit ton of unnecessary hate for the whole Jennifer Lopez thing and taking a few roles where he was just cashing a paycheck and going through the motions...

Vendzilla 03-10-2013 10:50 AM

I was right off the coast doing circles protecting the fleet, Reagan won the election and we went home.

Supz 03-10-2013 04:53 PM

It was good. By no means should it have been an Oscar winner. It was a suspense movie where you knew the ending. That's not really suspenseful.

harvey 03-10-2013 08:21 PM

I was caught on the hype and expected more. It was OK, but nothing to call momma home

Google Expert 03-11-2013 03:24 AM

It was a freaking borefest.

0 Dark Thirty vastly superior by comparison.

JamesM 03-11-2013 03:41 AM

great movie indeed.

Caldo 03-11-2013 04:01 AM

I excepted more from this movie :(

yuu.design 03-11-2013 05:47 AM

Havenīt time to see yet

Sid70 03-11-2013 07:04 AM

Take Ben Affleck away, he looks dull but in Argo its a top notch dull face.

Choopa_Pardo 03-11-2013 07:07 AM

I expected more from Argo. Good movie, certainly enjoyable, but expected more from it, as it did win best picture.

Looking forward to seeing Zero Dark Thirty when it come out to digital release next week.

Rochard 03-11-2013 07:07 AM

I finally watched it last night. Usually I love this kind of stuff, but this was very slow and dull really. I was disappointed.

bronco67 03-11-2013 07:12 AM

It's OK. Not the best movie I saw last year.

Markul 03-11-2013 07:12 AM

I liked it :)
