When I right-click and save a picture it keeps saving it as a .bmp. How do I fix?
When I try to save regular .jpg or .gif pictures on my computer, it now saves it as a .bmp. It just recently started doing this, and I'm not quite sure why? Has anyone ever had this problem and do you know how to fix it so it saves the picture as the format that it truley is? thanks.

clear your temporary files... and restart IE.

Its a kink in Explorer. Get the most up-to-date version. Since I updated I haven't had it happen anymore.
You can right click and do a save target from the thumb also. |
just stop thieve pics :)

If the address ends in ".JPG" or ".gif" you will have problems.
If its embedded on an html file or a link you wont have any problem. |
This may help you out...

IF the Image is hosted on a Win2K server
running DAF for password protection, ALL images will be BMP... |

I had this problem once.
I just found a .jpg on my computer, right-clicked on it, and selected it to open with Internet Explorer. IE worked again after that. |
