Bullshit. Amazon is the best. They have only improved over the years.

CyberHustler 11-06-2012 12:42 AM

Absolutely not :1orglaugh

LiveDose 11-06-2012 12:52 AM

Love Amazon, Ebay is a hit or miss at times...

kane 11-06-2012 12:59 AM

In all honesty I have purchased half a dozen things (mostly little things) from ebay over the last few months and every transaction was great. I bought a pair of computer headphones with free shipping on a monday night and got them on weds.

less than $10 USD :(

ajrocks 11-06-2012 07:26 AM

I've never had an issue on ebay either. I think it really comes down to only buying from people who do lots of transactions and have an almost perfect rating.

DBS.US 11-06-2012 07:38 AM

I'm a Amazon affiliate so the more I buy the bigger my checks:winkwink:

CIVMatt 11-06-2012 07:38 AM

It's SO fucking expensive fee wise to do anything on there anymore

Agreed plus with all the new rules e-bay have its almost impossible to sell on there now. e-bay is trying to mimic Amazon they want to turn into Amazon and its too late for that..Most sellers that used to sell well on e-bay are now on Amazon.

The thing to watch out for on Amazon is the so called free shipping, its not at all free they just bump the price of the item a few bucks to cover their costs. But i still spend thousands with Amazon as they mainly have the best prices...:thumbsup

I love Amazon and Ebay has been pretty good for me - I recently sold something and clearly marked in both the title and the description it was damaged - and I still got negative feedback

Yup, which kinda sucks for the new guys since they have to start somewhere, but i never buy from someone who doesn't have many transactions and almost always 100%.

Mind you it's harder to get negative feedback on Ebay now anyway...

xNetworx 11-06-2012 09:40 AM

Ebay is great for buying. For selling... not so much. I sold a watch on there for $1800 and they took a massive fee of over $100. Ridiculous.

wehateporn 11-06-2012 09:52 AM

I bought a Radio Controlled Helicopter from a guy with 100% feedback, didn't work, he came out with BS that it takes a lot of skill to fly. It was bust and he knew it.

best for some things ebay sometimes is cheaper. i only buy from power sellers on ebay.

Rochard 11-06-2012 09:57 AM

I've never had an issue with anything I've purchased at Ebay (or Amazon). I buy a lot of DVDs; Yesterday along I got Big Bang Theory Season Three (and this morning I just ordered Season Four only $8 free shipping) and also Jerico seasons one and two. Never an issue.

Harmon 11-06-2012 09:57 AM

The first rule of Ebay: You have to know how to spell before you can use Ebay. :2 cents:

By the time you pay a listing fee, selling fee, postage fee, and paypal fee, it really isn't worth shit now. To make your money you would have to originally sell it for a good bit more than it's worth. And people won't pay that...

Has Ebay ever been anything more than people selling their unwanted JUNK? I have a shed full of shit I need to get rid of and was thinking of using Ebay to fuck it off...

CyberHustler 11-06-2012 11:58 AM

When I was a teen I would rack up on shit from the 99 cent store (back then shit really was 99 cents in them stores) and sell them on ebay with a staring price of at least 4.99 with a great description and the highest shipping I could get away with while sending the shit book rate. I thought I was going to get rich :1orglaugh

i recently ordered a bedroom set for my daughter on ebay and when she got it, it was missing some hardware to put it together. the store gave me the manufacturer's phone number and tracking id and they sent what was needed xpress. i was bummed at the missing screws etc but impressed at how quickly they made it right.

100% agreed.

A few mates have/had ebay shops and have had to look else where. The above costs just make it impossible for anyone other than paypal or ebay to make money.

candyflip 11-06-2012 04:15 PM

I had someone buy something recently. I don't take returns or exchanges. They bitched and wanted a return. Product was as described, they just didn't like it. I followed all the rules and even offered an exchanged.

Ebay sided with them and returned the funds and I have not seen a return of the item.

I have been selling less and less on eBay lately because of shit like this.

adultchatpay 11-06-2012 06:00 PM

Ebay has been good to me.

SuckOnThis 11-06-2012 06:41 PM

Amazon Prime kicks ass. Most things are free shipping and if you want to pay for next day its usually cheap as hell. I've bought stuff at 6PM and it was sitting on my porch 16 hours later for less than $4 shipping.
