Obama is playing basketball instead of campaigning

CNN just reported that Obama is in Chicago playing basketball at this very moment instead of campaigning in a battleground state like Ohio like Romney is.

Either the media is lying about how close this election is or he doesn't want to be president anymore. Which one do you think it is?

MaDalton 11-06-2012 11:51 AM

do you really think him being in Ohio right now would change the slightest bit?

Scott McD 11-06-2012 11:55 AM

Anyone who STILL doesn't know who to vote for by now doesn't deserve a vote anyway...

We're talking about the presidency of the US. Do you play basketball or campaign on election day?

I've been thinking about how Bill Clinton attacked Obama just before the DNC. Clinton then does a 180 and gives a strong speech in support of Obama. Then we see Obama, one of the greatest speakers in presidential history, seemingly take a dive at the first debate. Put one and one together. Did Bill Clinton pay Obama off so that Hillary could run against Romney in 2016?

it's going to be a great scene in the Obama Movie

He did the same thing before he was elected president, it's an election day tradition for him. But hey, if you need a conspiracy theory to get you through the day have at it...

It's election day. His only jobs today are his his normal day to day responsibilities and to vote.

Contrary to popular belief being president is just a job and he is entitled to downtime.

Being the President is hardly just a job.

Sorry you feel that way.

Running around the country on election day like chicken with no head is a typical sign of desperation for Bishop Romney... R=W

LOL "generally" they don't campaign ON Election Day anyway...I wonder why Romney feels he even needs to? ;-)

Good for Potus. There's nothing he can do today anyway but play and relax. If I were him that is exactly what I would be doing too.

I mentioned this in another thread about CNN - CNN is claiming it's a tie on their front page and a "close race" yet when you look at their polls on sub pages it's rather obvious Obama is in the lead.

http://www.cnn.com/election/2012/eca...#?battleground

Electoral votes, Obama 237, Romney 206. Doesn't seem close to me. If Romney wins half of the remaining electoral votes he still doesn't reach the magical 270 number.

CDSmith 11-06-2012 01:04 PM

If he was still campagning on Election day, as the incumbant sitting president, I'd be worried for the guy.

He's right to be playing some b-ball.

It's on Romney to suck up to the voters until the last second. Obama's run his campaign. Today is election day, not campaign day.

CyberHustler 11-06-2012 01:17 PM

This election reminds me of this movie

Please define what it is then.

The only difference is he is on call 24/7/365...but these days there are tons of jobs like that.

He is essentially CEO of the United States of America. Last time I checked, being CEO is a job...unless you're the owner. Last time I checked, Obama doesn't own the US. In fact, he serves as CEO at our pleasure... making it a job.

Edit: Oh I forgot that he also gets paid to do this. More evidence it's a job.

B.Barnato 11-06-2012 01:34 PM

Have you ever played basketball instead of campaigning?

I sure have.

That isn't a results page. It's a page where users can predict who they think will win each state. Go click on the states to change their colour and the results.
