Had a guy on FB ask me if I felt sorry for girls in porn.
I answered no. I mean everyone makes their own decisions, right? All the women I've worked with never had a gun to their head and I always tried to talk them out of it before shooting them. I don't feel sorry for them, sometimes their stories make me sad, but I wonder if they just don't kinda make them up to be worse off than they are to get more money for the shoots.
I turn it around and wonder what it would feel like if I was a girl in porn, and someone said they felt sorry for me. I'd be like eat my ass, but sign this model release and let me film it, cause I'm gonna make a buck off it. All these surfers try to approach the models with the why are you doing this, oh my god, your better than this, blah blah line. I remember seeing it and hearing it done when I spent alot of time in the clubs. Its lame, and I think the girls that I know think its lame too. Feel sorry for them? No. Hell if I looked as good as 1/4 of these ladies, I'd have an ATM reader strapped to each leg. Men are easily seperated from thier money thanks to thier little cocks. Girls, never feel bad. Get that cash and fuck the people that try and make you feel down because of what you do. Thats just a low angle come one. Rambling, too much Mountain Dew this morning lol. |
My cuzin who is a lezbo asked me the same thing. I asked her if she met any girls in porn and of coarse she has not. Most pornstars I know are happy and they like what they do....sure some of them have issues, but who doesnt.
|
It seems sexist that they always want to consider the case of 'The Girl who does Porn' rather than 'The Person who does Porn'. I don't hear many feeling sorry for guys who do porn
|
I feel sorry for narrow minded people :upsidedow

It would be the equivalent as feeling sorry for your waiter or the pizza delivery guy. Even strippers, engineers, ear doctors..
They get paid for a service and its something they chose to be in. |
I concur, these comments above, for the most part reflect my exact sentiments.
I've never "made some girl do stuff she didn't want to", ever....now, that's not to say a couple here and there, who I have shot a ton of content over long periods of time and made some great $ from me, as well as others....haven't come back and bitched about the content being used "still". As if it would just go away... But, that doesn't make me feel sorry for them, nor should anyone else. They knew what they were doing, and loved it at the time... To quote one of them, in reference to OTHER girls in fact: "She signed a model release, she knew what she was doing, so "F" her if she's bitching about it!" Now, I do not feel THAT way...I just find it ironic that the SAME model saying that, a handful of years ago...eventually became one of the ones "bitching". But, do I feel SORRY for any of them...nope. |

Ever read Kayden Kross blog? She's pretty smart, but she's also fine as wine and chooses to use that to make bank. |

As above posters have said - mostly people who say that are new BFs who use it as a way to feel superior to and attempt to control hot girls. If women know they can bank their assets, they generally feel pretty strong.
I've only noticed that models seem to be less "embarrassed" about everything than standard people. In many cases they seem happier. Look around you on the subway - that is what unhappy looks like. |
Agreed. Though, I never tried to talk girls out of shoots. I would have "the talk" with them, though.
I'd remind the newer models that once its up, its up and if they aren't ready for their parents to see it, they should't do it. On the same token, I don't feel sorry for renegade prostitutes. They made the choice to get money on redbook or in the streets. The only ones who have no choice are the ones being trafficked or gorilla pimped (a "hoe or die" situation). Those women are the ones I feel sorry for. That shit ain't cool. There are some gorilla pimped models out there, right now. Sad to see. |
I actually turned down a first time amateur girl once because I saw a flash of doubt on her face. I'm like I don't think you're ready and to call back if she ever was. She was relieved and I'm glad she never called back. If a girl is uncomfortable it just makes for an awful shoot anyway.
When I hand an amateur our model release I always say, "This says that I can put your photos on a billboard behind your parents house if I want to." At least with the girls I shoot, the naive 18 year old girl is a myth. These girls work it, and work it good. Wish lists, sugar daddies, and fuck buddies... oh my! So no... I never feel sorry for them. I sure wish I had that to fall back onto when I was 18-24.... would have been nice to not worry about money. |

i have many observations on this issue.
Generally speaking models who are not doing adult modeling out of a dire need to earn a living but who rather does it out of curiosity and genuine interest and sexual "appetite" seems to be the great model who everybody looks up to and who eventually succeeds. Those who fall into porn to make a few bucks usually dont do well and typically ends up feeling sorry for themselves. |

Shame about the reduction |
i remember reading in a magazine what someone felt about prostitution and that no girl dreams of growing up to become one.
Well let's be honest, who grows up doing their dream job? Like 1% of people? I wanted to play football for England, it is not going to happen. lifes tough, live with it. |

They make up assumptions about things based on TV, the web...media in general - without having experienced it for themselves. Not all, of course...but a lot. |
I feel sorry for those girls on the Hardee's commercial. Seriously, all that BBQ sauce, damn.

This thread goes to show how little some of you know what the fuck you're talking about. There is a systematic exploitation of women of lower socio-economic status; this is different than the girl that does it out of curiousity and interest of empowerment. A larger part of the former end up with regret and mortgaged future years down the road.
