mrshine - SCAMMER ALERT

This thread: https://gfy.com/showthread.php?p=19308093
Title: Paypal to paxum

Story:

Got in touch with Scammer via ICQ.

Agreed to recieve $250 Paypal for $230 Paxum.
So good so far...

Paypal arrived from a mexican account user... (another victim in the scam)

2 days after, that same account filled a Paypal complaint, saying that "things weren't delievered"...

I had to refund full amount to that Paypal address.

Futher research, that Paypal address was from a user that bought "Magic Solution for Easy Blog Money Online"... Some shit like this... On the BlackHatForum... He was paying via Paypal to this SCAMMER and I got caught in the middle... (I recieved via Paypal, sent the money via PAXUM, as requested).
I even got in touch with him via ICQ, Facebook and Skype... And he explained me everything, and we both noticed we got caught in some scam...

Three weeks ago... He comes to ICQ, requesting another money transfer... I LOL'd... and said, I could only do another one, if he came clean and paid me what was owed from the previous transfer... He said, yeah, will take care of it "right away"...

Now, he comes back to ICQ, I asked: "Where are you, and where is my money?", he simply replies: "Fuck Off".

Paxum says there is nothing they can do in order to get my money back... Quoting:

According to the Terms of use the transfers through Paxum system are irreversible. You need to keep contacting the receiver of these funds and ask him to refund the payment you made.

Miguel T 11-11-2012 06:26 PM

I forgot to add his ICQ: 614336523 and 488709340 (according to GFY profile)

helterskelter808 11-11-2012 06:41 PM

Funny how the Mexican got his money back. Oh yeah, his transaction wasn't via a penis pill company, was it. I assume you stopped using Paxum after they refused to help you with this scammer?

Penny24Seven 11-11-2012 06:44 PM

paxum is like epass, don't send money if you do not know the person. I see these trades all the time and the one using paxum is at risk every single time.

epitome 11-11-2012 07:20 PM

That's why you always have to know who you are doing transfers with... and why the bigger exchangers on here from the epass days had to sort of know who you were or be able to figure it out.

Killswitch 11-11-2012 07:54 PM

And everyone says PayPal is bad... Sorry about your luck, but now you'll learn to not do transfers for any joe who asks. Especially after he scammed you once.

Scam me once, shame on you.
Scam me twice, shame on me.

freecartoonporn 11-11-2012 08:42 PM

:1orglaugh Do you go to fires and ask for a light as well.

Jim_Gunn 11-11-2012 10:32 PM

Why would anyone ever do any kind of monetary transfer for anyone else, even if you know them personally? Why not just handle your own business and money and plan accordingly for your needs in advance so that you don't have to rely on anyone doing such transfers of supposed convenience?

k0nr4d 11-11-2012 10:49 PM

Why on earth would you do an exchange at all? Risking $230 to make $20 makes no sense.

Check the biz forum at MP's board. Sounds like same scammer who was using jacked cards to do some affiliate scams. The domain you mentioned is familiar.

facialfreak 11-12-2012 01:12 AM

this EXACT scenerio (albeit different players) is what I got caught in over 5 years ago ...

A guy came to me (even vouched for by somebody I knew .. ) asking me to flip paypal to epassporte, and turns out the paypal he paid me with was a compromised account. Some Chinese scammer living in US.

Eventually, after several correspondences, Anne - the other party involved in this scam - realized that her and I were BOTH victims of this asshole, and she and I became friends - or at least "friendly". She even tried to help me have the report she filed at RipoffReport.com rescinded, but they tried to extort us for several hundred dollars to have it removed, so the report remains. :321GFY

This also got my personal PayPal account SHUT DOWN!! Since I had received fraudulent funds, I was guilty of money laundering, regardless if I was a willing participant or not.

Rand was my account manager at Epassporte at the time, and did everything in his power to try to help me recover the funds, but of course this guy did not leave them in his account, so all they could do was close his epass account :(

Like I previously said, the only reason why I did the transfer, was that somebody I knew vouched for this guy. It was very hard lesson to learn, but I am much more wise with my online transactions because of it ..

tubescribe 11-12-2012 01:59 AM

He got me too.

bluebook18 11-12-2012 03:50 AM

he's wearing shining armor that can manipulate people, beware ... have luck

Miguel T 11-12-2012 04:35 AM

Learned my lesson...

EddyTheDog 11-12-2012 04:38 AM

I am not great with PayPal and use it as little as I can - Is there a benefit to sending it as a personal payment as money owed?

If its not for goods they can't complain that they did not get them....

Va2k 11-12-2012 05:25 AM

That sucks :(

trademeister 11-12-2012 08:33 AM

Sucks to hear. Lowlife, lowballing scammers.

teomaxxx 11-12-2012 09:29 AM

Count me in as being scammed by the same guy too. Pitty me for not searching this guy on GFY further and being a stupid and nice guy to other people.

I have hired him to make something for me, which I only later realized he dont know shit about...while he was feeding me with all bullshit stories you can come up only if you are living in some scamming 3rd world country shithole (destroyed hardrive, then he had trouble with GF, then he must left a country for a week, and so on...)

Then he is asking me if i can do 200 usd paypal paxum exchange "Sure, why not, just send me money first". I didnt even ask for commission lol.
So we made exchange and then second day he ask for another exchange with promise to pay me back in two hours....now 150 bucks, which i sent him first in advance. I should have realized that he is going to disappear sometimes since he was communicating on the ICQ only in the "away" mode in the last days (some other people were probably already after him).

So I paid him 200 usd for work, which he didnt managed to do as he was completely unskilled bullshiter and then he bullshits me again for 150 bucks, lol. I have to laugh at myself now...as they say:

"Scam me once, shame on you.
Scam me twice, shame on me."

so now lets have some fun and post something from our ICQ conversation, where the guy is complaing about GFY, that people thinks about him that he is Scam cause he is from Serbia (he didnt scammed anyone on GFY before) and there is also his telephon number.

What's funny is that paxum has all these insane fraud checks, so you'd think they'd do something about this.
