first, i hated windows 7 but now it looks familiar

serious ... i really hated my new box but then ... with a few tweaks ... it almost feels like "home" and looks close to XP ... who ever thought the "superbar" was cool is a total nutjob lacking any ideas as how to use multiple taskbars ... and serious, the browser toolbar is a joke, no? luckily, with classicshell, it LOOKS functional at least lol -->
http://home.no/bravedigger/win7whew.jpg

d'oh, i cant wait for my six core box to fuck with it ... i am undecided ... XP 64 or win7 again? hmmmmmmmmmmm ....

Yngwie 11-12-2012 06:57 PM

replacing/deleting/renaming files for example ... "you need admin rights bla" when one is logged in as the only user - ADMIN ... thats fucked up shit :helpme win7 is crap in my book compared to the flexibility of XP

and hey, the "directory up" arrow is missing in win7 and in the search results it shows all the shit, but NOT where the found file is located ... a fucking joke

What he said, it's getting worse. I'm sure eventually we'll all get used to it like a bunch of sheep. There's also linux and macos.

Btw, Win8 does have multiple screens by default, which is more space than a bar.

The missing directory up arrow bothers me as well. That's the only thing I've really noticed that I can think of that pisses me off.

Good thing when I'm browsing directories, I'm usually using filezilla.

bronco67 11-12-2012 09:13 PM

Why would you want fresh looking Windows 7 to look like some old-ass bullshit?

no need to live without it ... --> http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/ gives you back what you miss ... start menu and explorer shell like back in the XP days ;)

You're perceiving things that aren't true. Explain.

you get speed by buy SSD and RAM and not by removing things...
SSD will give you like 500% fastec computer...

Windows 7 simply ROCKS and is really easy to use and it looks good...

simple ... i save 50% of clicks with each task that needs copy/paste because i can achieve it with ONE click instead of right click + action ... plus, when win7 is set to details (folderview), the whole fucking line is linked to the file = i need to move to the very right to paste shit (if the paste button in the browser shell is absent) ... startmenue is not cluttered up shit with the old view (classicshell) ... and its easy to create your own "superbar" with cascading view when folders were added to a super- or so called "turbo"bar ... fuck it, XP was better for fast work and one thing is for sure... i still wont like win7 when my new six core box arrives  merry xmas lol
