Domain Change SEO advice?

So I stupidly bought "findmeasexygirl.com" only to realize that "findmesexygirls.com" was available weeks later.

I have been slowly working on the site(don't hate a work in progress), but in the meantime it's managed to rank pretty well for various key words. I would like to change everything to Find Me Sexy Girls rather than Find Me A Sexy Girl - but I don't know how to do this without compromising the SEO.

If I do a 301 redirect... does the SEO go with it? Even for all the other pages?

For instance one of the posts ranked #1 amazingly and a few people search it a day by the exact post name. But if I copy everything to findmesexygirls.com - I don't think that will be true anymore.

Thoughts? Or easy answer?

a 301 redirect will move the SEO juice to the new domain. 301 redirect is the "proper" way to change domains.

It is "supposed to" but why not just forward findmesexygirls.com to the site that ranks?

Because I think "Find Me Sexy Girls" is easier to market and more appealing. I would prefer to be using that site title instead of "Find Me A Sexy Girl". It's more concise, and I think would be a more appealing site to visit to the average surfer.
