Paysite Price
 

Any tips on how to set the recurring price for a paysite. There is a huge range out there.

What would you recommend.

Im at 14.95 and 19.95 with 3month and 6month non-recurring transactions.

Never reduce price, you can always increase the price... =)

as a side note, has anyone had to raise a long-time price at their paysite, maybe by $5 or so, and did you see a bad outflux of members due to the price going up? any complaints from long-term members, etc.?

long term price? you mean a non-recurring 3 or 6 month membership?

1) cant change recurring prices to my knowledge without letting all the members know, and authorize.

2) If you raise hte price, it should only affect new members not old.

3) If its a quality site, when the recurring transaction goes stale, and needs renewing, $5 wont matter to them, either they like it, or they dont.

4) If a current member happens to see that prices went up, and enjoy their membership, they'll think they're getting an even better deal, having been locked in the lower price.

Just increased this weekend:

9.99 to 19.99
24.99 to 39.99

New sigups stable ( but more money). Rebills are also steady and a deal at the old price. They feel like they are getting a bargain, which in fact they are.

its not a bad thing.. but wethoney is kinda burnt into my 4 braincells that i have left.

Went from $19.95 to $24.95 to $29.95 in the last few years, haven't noticed any dropoffs either time. $39.95 seems a bit much IMO, I would think some sites are that high only to recoup money paid to affiliates.

I charge a 1.95 trial,then in 5 minutes I charge them $39 while crossselling two sites that are free for 3 days and then recur at $39/month each..it's great! after paying affiliates though, I'm -$800/month ... it's all apart of the game baby!
