there are many good and bad for both. An affiliate can send to 10 different sites. Site owner just his. Affiliate is a lot cheaper to get started.
You can get a nice pay site, semi-exclusive content for 1000 bucks and nobody will buy it. Go figure

You dont receive 100% if your sales are generated by affiliates

As an affiliate, starting my own paysites was the best thing I ever did. Any site I was sending a lot of traffic to I just built my own version of to take 100%. Upsells, exits, xsales, and affiliate traffic were all bonuses on top.

You do not get 100% of the sale since the processor will take their cut regardless. :thumbsup

Thing is you double your work.

Have to buy or create the content.

Edit the content.

Upload the content.

Create fhgs etc etc etc

Then promote it all.

Good and bad and for me personally it has been a heap of work.

And you pay for the content. Ok, nowadays content is relatively cheap.

Much harder to maintain compared to an affiliate program. Not everyone knows hot biches to shoot. Not everyone is allowed to even own legal webmasters content sold to them by webmasters. Not everyone knows how ftp works. So much.

But yeah, it's better if you know what you're doing i guess. Sometimes you make more as an affiliate? :)

I never said it was too much work, simply noting that it is not as simple as bing, bong, bang as Franck is making out.

Sure you get more and are promoting your own thing, however there is a heap of work involved.

Creating FHGs is 100% a necessity, for me anyways. Supplying content to sites for promotion, submit etc

I think you would be hard pushed to get a brand new pay site up and running properly from scratch these days. Escpecially with all the big established sites out there. Took us years to build up traffic to TAC. Its now over 180k a day so has its own momentum but Id hate to have to start from scratch again

This is actually the fun part. Shooting and editing vids the way I like it, on my own, that is the most exciting job in adult.

building quality paysite needs big bucks.

you can own a site with non exclusive content for 1k bucks., but then no sales.,

or you can promote other exclusive sites which has awesome ratios, and get paid pps for $1 joins.

each one has some pros and cons.
