Anyone here not afraid of heights??
Normally I don't have a problem with heights, but this video made my legs a little weak. There's absolutely no way you could ever pay me enough to do this as a job. I guess it takes a special person to want to do this.

The feeling of falling is insane. I have a condo in Vegas on the 28th floor and it freaks me out to even get near the edge of the balcony.
|
I would have no issue with that task given they are harnessed and roped to the structure. Looks like fun, in fact.

i dont even step on regular ladders that higher than 1 meter - lol
|
Heights don't bother me at all, however my arms are tired just watching him climb that tower.
|
i think all of us get a bit dizzy looking straight down like that. Even the harness thing doesn't help me any. Too much relying on lowest bid engineering going on with those ;)

I would only do it if I was locked in the entire time. Gone skydiving multiple times, but this takes a brass set.
|
Do this job have a "bring your parachute to work day"?
|
"now we've reached the base of the antennae> From here its just another 60 feet to the top."
Oh, is that all? |
damn that's insane... they must get paid well though

incidentally he works as an arborist now! |
I am afraid of heights, but I can get over it. My kid wanted me to go on a zip line in Hawaii, and I was able to do it.
Doing something like this... Insane. |
balls of steel
|
That actually looks pretty awesome, although I think my arms would get tired real fast.

Funny thing though is that once I drove Red Mountain Pass and did fine! Not today though! I cannot watch this video without getting sick: :(:(:(:(:(:(:( |
I'm not afraid of hieghts but I "suffer" from severe vertigo. I LOVED my 18th floor penthouse apartment. It was in North York and it faced south. I worked while looking over the Toronto skyline.
Unfortuntely, if I went out on the balcony or terrace and looked down, the whole city spun. I felt a compulsion to lean over the edge. Nothing like paying for a terrace that you can't use. I bought a bungalow. |
afraid of heights here :helpme

Heights don't really bother me but that is an irrational fear that I have. I never worry that the balcony itself will go though. Just the railing. |
I've seen this video before but it still makes my hands sweat.
