The whole situation is fucked up. Zimmerman should have waited for the cops. If he was that determined to follow Trayvon, he should have stayed back and watched where Trayvon went, so he could tell the PROPER authorities. He should not have acted like he was a fucking cop and confronted hahahahahaha. That being said, I'm sure there's plenty of elements of what hahahahahaha did that he shouldn't have done as well.

No, I said they both made poor decisions, I'm not defending either...they both fucked up. Are you saying that it's ok to not only excessive follow someone who isn't actually doing anything wrong, and then confront them aggressively? You mention it's illegal to beat the shit out of someone (and I never said otherwise), but I'm sure that some type of harrasment charges could have been levied against Zimmerman had the results of the night turned out different. Kids talk shit to each other at school now and get charged with harrasment and "terroristic threats." Zimmerman would be guilty of at least that.

The argument is being made that Zimmerman was standing his ground and that's why Trayvon (since Mar.tin is fucking censored...) ended up shot. The same argument could be made that Trayvon beat the shit out of Zimmerman because he was standing his ground against someone who was stalking and harrasing him on his way home from the store. Zimmerman wasn't some random stalker on the streets following people around, he was working as a neighborhood watchman or whatever it's called and he saw someone that he thought looked like they were up to no good, and when that person started to violently attack him his suspicions were confirmed. Then, in order to save his own life, he decided to use his weapon on the attacker.

People will try to justify Trayvon's attack on Zimmerman because Zimmerman was "following him," but that's not the way the law works, it isn't legal to beat someone up simply because they are walking near you.

I think you're missing the fact that being a neighborhood watchman doesn't give him any more legal power than Trayvon had. If you get elected to your neighborhood watch, you picked to "watch to see if you see anything suspicous or wrong so you can report it to the authorities." Being in the neighborhood watch does not make you an authority. It doesn't give you a badge, and it doesn't give you a special right to carry a gun. I could go be the neighborhood watch in my neighborhood with absolutely no background credentials. You act like he had some sort of fucking power as the neighborhood watchman. It's not like he was a security guard in a uniform and marked vehicle in a gate community.

So Trayvon just ran up to Zimmermans truck, yanked him out of it and started beating the shit out of him unprovoked? I'm supposed to believe that Zimmerman was staying back, minding his own business and observing (like he should have been as a neighborhood watchman), waiting for the PROPER authorities to arrive, and that out of nowhere, Trayvon just decided to attack him? I guarantee you that Trayvon felt threatened and that's why he attacked....if in fact he even attacked first. But do I think he handled the situation right? Fuck no.

A man like George Zimmerman is an asset to any community since most people just retreat to their homes and watch as the neighborhood turns to shit. Why do you think Trayvon would just attack Zimmerman for no rhyme or reason? It's been stated over and over that no one knows for sure who started the physical altercation (well, Zimmerman does, but no one would expect him to come out and say he did, if he did).

I can't prove to you that Zimmerman started it and you can't prove to me that Trayvon attacked Zimmerman completely unprovoked. As I've said over and over, it takes two to tango, and both people were in the wrong in this situation. Yet somehow you fail to acknowledge that and keep defending Zimmerman as the town savior.

It's not. The reports say Zimmerman called 911 constantly. The recording clearly shows he was looking for trouble and I think, a reason to pull the trigger. The "shoot first / self defines / whatever its called" gun law in FLorida and other states is a disgrace. If Zimmerman gets off there will (and should be) huge protests. (The lack of proper) gun laws in the US is seriously out of control.

To me the bottom line is this: We know how it all started and we know how it ended. What we don't know is what happened in between and how the two came to be fighting. Since hahahahahaha is no longer alive it all rests on Zimmerman and whether or not he is credible to the jury. That is, unless, the police have some kind of evidence that we don't yet know about.

If the jury believes his story he will likely get off. If they don't, he is going to jail for a long time. So far, he has done a lot of misleading of the court so he is not off to a good start and if I were him I would be very scared.

The reports also state that the 911 operator told Zimmerman "we don't need you to do that" when Zimmerman said he was out of his truck pursuing Trayvon. Recordings from a Trayvon cell phone call had him on the phone when Zimmerman approached him on foot, defying the instructions that the 911 operator had given him.

As for your claims, Mark, that Zimmerman was looking for trouble, one could speculate that he was overzealous in his pursuit of Trayvon based on recent frustrations with neighborhood encounters:

Again, you're basing this on the unknown. If Zimmerman instigated, then Trayvon was acting in self defense. I wouldn't consider that going gangsta or a thug beating someone up.

What will happen is that the prosecution will likely try to put together a presentation that makes Zimmerman out as a guy who pursued hahahahahaha with the intent to do him harm and that he started the altercation an hahahahahaha was defending himself against Zimmerman. When Zimmerman started losing the fight he shot hahahahahaha.

If you start a fight and start losing that fight you can't just kill someone and claim self defense.

Zimmerman's defense will likely be just the opposite. He will likely say that he was trying to calmly talk to hahahahahaha and hahahahahaha attacked him.

It will come down to who the jury believes.

What Zimmerman has going for him is that that the charges that he has been hit with it are more difficult to prove than other charges they could have gone with. What he has going against him is his past history of violence and so far he has a few incidence of lying to and misleading the court. You can imagine his defense team will fight like hell to not allow his past to be admitted as evidence.

How does it actually work?
If you are jury you would know said past - does not matter if it is allowed as evidence or not. So how come it is a big difference if it is allowed or not? Jury will still know that past... And as you say - it will come down to what version jury believes.

Are you crazy? If an idiot like Zimmerman was in my neighbourhood, I'd move. Trevon was NOT ARMED. Zimmerman had no reason to shoot from everything I've seen on TV so far. Even if a fight did break out between them, Zimmerman could have easy fought back. And if he had to pull a gun, all he had to do was threaten Trevon with it. Zimmerman shot first because he was scared of a black kid, nothing else.
