Christmas songs that DON'T piss you off

Most radio stations are starting to hammer fuck out of the Christmas songs now.

Most are fucking awful, infact probably 95% of them. It's pointless changing the radio station now since practically every station is playing the same songs. Well, most the shitty commercial stations anyway.

What songs don't piss you off and make you want to switch off ?

I think i heard the only one i don't mind today while i was in the car which is:

Trying to think of others i don't mind. Hmmm...

right now all Xmas songs piss me off. At Xmas night and day , I'm ok with them, but this far in advance, fucking ridiculous:2 cents:

Ross 12-04-2012 02:49 PM

Mariah Carey - All I want For Christmas
The Pogues - Fairytake Of New York

DamianJ 12-04-2012 02:55 PM

If you like jazz, check out Oscar Peterson's Christmas album. It's fucking brilliant.

Asparaguss 12-04-2012 02:56 PM

They all suck!

sperbonzo 12-04-2012 02:57 PM

The "Merry Christmas Charlie Brown" album of the Vince Guaraldi jazz trio is always my favorite. I can listen to that every year.

Trans Siberian Orchestra FTW! :upsidedow

Though it's still too soon for me to be able to properly enjoy Christmas music yet. It pisses me off right now :1orglaugh

My Fiancee is getting tickets to see them soon I believe. She was going on about them the other night and how they are coming and we should go. I'll suck it up and go, gets me bonus points for use at a later date.

Good call Ross, normally anything Mariah Carey would piss me off, but because this song is part of Christmas Vacation, it gets a thumb's up. And Fairy Tale of New York always reminds me that no matter how drunk one may get at Christmas, you will never be Shane MacGowan drunk.

Kinda... I wrap little 'presents' in Toilet Roll, and pass them out randomly to those out n the street, down on their luck...

CourtneyR 12-05-2012 10:47 AM

When your parents do a stupid thing like name you Courtney Noelle Rudolph. You grow a hatred for Christmas songs at an early age.

Rochard 12-05-2012 10:57 AM

I've always secretly had a thing for "Christmas Wrapping" by the Waitresses.

My favorite thought is by Vertical Horizon called the "Man Who Be Santa". It talks about parents and their children, and how kids have no clue who Santa really is. It's so much more than Christmas, which is something that any parent can understand.

fuzebox 12-05-2012 11:22 AM

I like the Sinatra stuff.

AdultPornMasta 12-05-2012 01:03 PM

This is one of only a very few Christmas Carols which do NOT piss me off!:

The lyrics:

"Deck Us All With Boston Charlie!"

" Deck us all with Boston Charlie,
Walla Walla, Wash., an' Kalamazoo!
Nora's freezin' on the trolley,
Swaller dollar cauliflower alley-garoo!

Don't we know archaic barrel
Lullaby Lilla Boy, Louisville Lou?
Trolley Molly don't love Harold,
Boola boola Pensacoola hullabaloo!

Bark us all bow-wows of folly,
Polly wolly cracker 'n' too-da-loo!
Donkey Bonny brays a carol,
Antelope Cantaloupe, 'lope with you!

Hunky Dory's pop is lolly gaggin' on the wagon,
Willy, folly go through!
Chollie's collie barks at Barrow,
Harum scarum five alarm bung-a-loo!

Dunk us all in bowls of barley,
Hinky dinky dink an' polly voo!
Chilly Filly's name is Chollie,
Chollie Filly's jolly chilly view halloo!

Bark us all bow-wows of folly,
Double-bubble, toyland trouble! Woof, woof, woof!
Tizzy seas on melon collie!
Dibble-dabble, scribble-scrabble! Goof, goof, goof!"
