CCBill hosting Cavecreek

Hello!

Hope you all doing well :) I just notice that when your using Cavecreek hosting with CCbill , since they have a partnership you save 1% on your CCbill transaction. So the question is why all the ccbill paysite are not all using that host to make more money?

They have failure issue , bad reputation?

Thanks

Isn't that the same as secured servers? I've been with secured servers for over two years now, best host ever :)

It probably boils down to the cost and encumbrance of moving your infrastructure to Cave Creek. Why introduce an unknown variable for 1%? Now, if you were starting up a NEW site and NEW hosting, sure.

Thanks for the reply and yes I'm starting a new website. Gonna go with them or secured servers then :)

Good deal. My only experience with Cave Creek was migrating away from them after I came onboard with a new client, so I really can't give you any specifics about how they worked, reliability, etc.

Cavecreek used to be pretty expensive. Maybe they still are?
Very solid host though. Have been with them for years until we moved to our own datacenter.

I think when I hosted with them back in 1998 (?) I started out at $500 per Mbit lol. I was paying a fortune for hosting, but back then it was quite common. After like 1.5 years I decided to email them to ask if we could get it cheaper and they changed it to $200 per Mbit and I wished I had asked them much sooner. I think I paid at least 25K a month in hosting back then.

There's an important lesson for every one there, review your hosting regularly, it's easy to just let it tick along nicely and just keep paying without realising that 18 months into your contract your hardware may not be up to scratch for the money you are paying by todays standards, the kit advances all the time, more bandwidth for the buck etc, all you need is a good account manager who you can check in with now and again.

I looked at them a while ago and they seemed fairly expensive. The 1% savings didn't make a lot of sense at the time if I was going to increase my hosting bill by quite a bit. However, I've heard great things about them as a host. It's just not worth the move (for me) for 1% savings.

I would be happy to help you with both. Cavecreek was started prior to 1998 right around the time that CCBill was created. I think you will find that our pricing is very competitive in today's market.

I have quotes and a solution for just about any setup so feel free to drop me a line. paulk @ cavecreek.com
