Can a business of any size get set up? Like you can with the others? Or do we need to be processing $10k or more per month through it to participate?

JFK 12-05-2012 06:19 AM

Hi,

No minimums or monthly fees. This is a product identical to "Square" if you are familiar with that. You must be in the US and have a checking account to use it.

It works with Blackberries, iPhones and Android. The app is slick.

Service providers who want to accept credit cards on the go. Craft shows, swap meets, and pretty much anything else for products and services sold.

JFK - Do you have a corp or SS# here or just a bank account?

NaughtyVisions 12-05-2012 11:48 AM

My wife and I were considering Square, so since this is essentially the same thing, I'll ask you Mitch...

My wife is a hobby breeder, and a lot of times people will reserve a puppy by using their credit card for the deposit. Previously, we had them send us paypal, but (after using paypal for years), PP decided that they didn't want us doing that because they feel the "merchandise" should be delivered within 30 days of receiving payment. We have a year long waiting list on one of our breeds, so that's just not possible. We also had Payflow through Paypal to actually process cards, rather than people just sending money, but litters are sporadic through the year (as are deposits), so there's a lot of times we were paying for a processor that we aren't even using. We also have an Amazon Payments account, but they hold the funds for two weeks before releasing, which isn't horrible, but annoying.

We saw square the other day, and like how it's a flat rate per transaction (2.75%), nothing more. And we get the funds the next day. But our question is, is it possible to process cards through it as "mail order" or "phone order," as in, not having a signature? While we do meet most people when they pick up their puppy (very few have their puppy shipped), most aren't going to fly to us just to give us their signature with their $200 deposit.

Thanks in advance!

Hello - for card not present transactions the rate increases. This is the same for Square too.
We can help with any solution that you need from phone swipe to ecommerce to a full retail setup. Please call our sales department to discuss all of your needs.

NETbilling 12-05-2012 02:03 PM

Keep in mind that the phone swipe cannot be used to process adult transactions (memberships, cams etc.). This is for mainstream products and services.

Hi,

This is a completely separate product not tied in to your current NETbilling account or setup.
The virtual terminal app is but the phone swipe is separate. There are no fees aside from the 2.69% for swipe. You can setup in 2 minutes at : http://netbilling.com/swipe/

Please call post or email with any questions.

I would imagine it would come in handy at conventions for payment processing.

My wife is on the board of a local youth sports league here in town, and they have these little attachments you put on your smart phone and swipe cards. Don't laugh, my kid's sport's league does about $200k in transactions each year.
