Homeland fans... inside

Where you think this is heading? Only two more eposides left but they signed up for a season three.

Brodey just assisted in killing the VP, or so we think, so where else could it go? Since there is a season three we know they won't kill Brodey off now.

What do you think they are doing with Sal?

This is getting really interesting. Aside from Brody's part in the VP's death, what's going to happen w/ Carrie?! Is she going to rat him out for providing the number to Nazir in order to let her go?! Now that the VP is dead, Brody doesn't have to drop out of Congress or take his name out of the political hat.

The whole Saul situation is great too. Estees definitely has something to do with it. My take is that the Black Ops guy "Quinn" was instructed to kill both Carrie and Brody upon Nazir's death. Cut and hide all ties to the operation.

Either way I'm PUMPED to see what happens next!

Yea, now Carrie knows he took part in the VP's death, no telling where that is going to lead. This last episode was just fantastic, cliff hangers galore. And with the VP gone, Brody may be able to stay in office or be pushed to run for President himself.

I agree with you about Quinn ordered to kill them both to contain it. That may be why they didn't allow Sal to go, because everyone there is going to die.

I'm not sure where it is headed, but I really like the show. It seems like just about every episode has one of those "wow" moments. It is very well done.

All I know is that Brody's daughter annoys the shit out of me! :1orglaugh

I think Carrie will not say anything about the pacemaker, she wants nazir too much and is willing to sacrifice it all. As far as Saul, I was really taken by surprise.

I love this show, just caught up last night, I missed 4 episodes. I'd have been pissed if I read this thread and didn't know about the VP lol. I don't even know what will happen, couldn't even guess but I'm looking forward to the next episode.

really you can hack into a heart monitoring device over the internet and give some a heart attack? did I misunderstand what happened or is did homeland just pull a 24 gaff?

JamesChoopa 12-05-2012 02:16 PM

MontrealDave:
100% agree w/ you here. She has that damn scowl on her face at all times! She's 18 in real life. I wouldn't have guessed.

Saul is my favorite character on the show. Something about his dryness is awesome. He just seems so smart. I def. think Estees has motives to hold Saul back, kill Carrie and Brody and possibly run for some type of office himself. He is/was close w/ the VP. Who knows!

One plot gaff that is definitely getting a little annoying is the constant contact Brody has w/ Nazir on his Government issued BlackBerry but yet they don't ever trace or monitor that call? They monitor everything else he does on it, use it as a wire when talking to the reporter girl and all. We are just suppose to believe they stopped monitoring him all together?

I actually looked into this after the episode. It seems like they have had wireless pacemakers for a little while now. Back in 2008 there was a scare that a hacker might get into the system and start shutting them down. I guess they use the device to make fine tuning adjustments and so on. So it can happen.

The potential 24ish aspect of it is if access to that machine could turn off your pacemaker and kill you then you would think the VP of the US would have it a little more secure place. However, sometimes with a show like this you have to suspend disbelief a little bit.

i wonder if director tells her to act as if she has smoked too much, or as if she has only two braincells left, or both...

Hope they'll make her die along with her brother.

Go Nazir!

No shit, every time they show her I just wanna smack the shit out of her. Not really but you get the point.

kane 12-05-2012 06:17 PM

For me the story involving the daughter adds to the depth of the show as does her performance. That is how some kids are. Their dad was held as a prisoner of war for years, comes homes and is considered a hero and their lives change because of it and they resent their dad. It is life and to me it adds more to the story instead of him just having perfect kids that show up long enough to say hi, hug him and tell him how great he is.

Also, I have always thought Claire Danes was a good actress. The thins I had seen in her she had always done a good job in, but she is not only brilliant here she is also sexy as hell. There is something about the way she is that makes you want to bang the bejezus out of her.

gfyworldnews 12-05-2012 06:54 PM

Saul's polygraph failure last season was completely minimized. I suspect there's more to follow on this front.
