Question for the Apple experts
Is booting on the super fast 10 Gbps Apple thunderbolt port any faster than the internal 6 Gbps SATA3 ?
I'm thinking that I can get extra performance out the 10 Gbps port rather than the old and slow PC based "SATA" technology |
As opposed to just going Solid State, you mean? Or is there some reason you don't want SSD?

With Thunderbolt I guess I should be able to get up to 10 Gbps speed to the disk drive(s) ? |

I would think either interface would be faster than a mechanic disk if that is what you're using, so it wouldn't make a difference. I would stick with internal just so that you don't have to worry about your disk getting unplugged.
