How to spam Twitter,Facebook,Tumblr,Youtube...

I'm sure many of you use these types of social media and more to advertise and get direct traffic to your sites and blogs, I know I do. Although this sort of "spamming" may be frowned upon by the general community; the traffic can be outstanding.

Being in the adult biz only puts another hurdle up when trying to utilize social media in this way. Hopefully, we can all help each other by sharing our own tips and tricks of how to keep your social accounts in good standing and never suspended. It's hard to find resources like this that tell spammers how to spam successfully. Ideally, using these accounts we wouldn't be spamming; but simply promoting our content.

If anyone can share what does or doesn't work for them when trying to promote/advertise please do. I can edit this post if this idea becomes well received within GFY to display the most current and practical ways to promote via sites such as twitter, facebook, tumblr, reddit, delicious, stumbleupon, pinterest, youtube, dailymotion, metacafe, craigslist, linkedin, flickr, blogger, etc, etc...

I can get us started with some helpful pinterest tips:

Pinterest:
Max amount of people you can follow is approximately 300 per 12 hour period. They will let you know when you have followed too many, no other repercussions from doing so.
You can unfollow as many people you like to make yourself look more popular.
I recommend posing as a woman in your name and/or picture.
If not using pinterest for adult content, you can get your website link verified and they give you a link in your profile - which is dofollow.
I have not had a pinterest account suspended or cancelled yet.

If anyone can add to the pinterest tips or maybe help us out with another site, that would be great. Thanks all and good luck promoting.

How do you get traffic from twitter to your blogs?
You have to have followers and they don't seem to follow adult sites on twitter or facebook.

LeRoy 12-06-2012 08:21 PM

Nice tips!!

AllAboutCams 12-06-2012 08:23 PM

All i do is setup a RSS to twitter and facebook using twitterfeed.com

HTMwrestling 12-06-2012 08:28 PM

Don't overlook Deviantart. They'll allow adult content (with warnings) and you can try to pass pics off as "artful nudes", etc.

I have people following me (not very many) they follow by themselves probably from the link on my site

BareBacked 12-06-2012 08:57 PM

What do you post on pin?

OverdueNudes 12-06-2012 11:53 PM

I'm no twitter expert - but so far the only safe way I have found to amass followers is to follow people very slowly. Look for users who are already following a porn account and only follow about 120 of them per day. This usually results in about 30 or so people following you.

Just today I followed 300 people at one time and got an account suspended. I am unsure of the exact amount of people you can follow in a given day. Anyone know a good system?

ottopottomouse 12-07-2012 12:24 AM

Twitter has hourly activity limits 'as well as daily ones.

I guess I'm bassackwards. I basically run several hundred blogs to about 50 facebooks and 50 twitters. My next step is to run those sites with links to my money sites. I like to keep the link juice flowing.

GARY LEE 12-07-2012 04:58 AM

I also talked to the 2 employees which run all social networking for us and they say that twitter is much better for adult and facebook is a pain in the ass. They also use a program called hootsuite to take care of a lot of their work. They said it is a free program but we run it with extra options in pay mode which I believe is about $10 a month.

grumpy 12-07-2012 05:22 AM

Wrong question, its not how to spam them, its how to get new clients from them. Spam is not the way.

Facebook has been known to Ban accounts pretty fast, do that mean they also Ban your personal account when they ban your business "page" ?

I've been wanting to get into Facebook Promo but afraid they will ban my person account because it's linked to my adult one...any idea?

I've been getting good traffic results on Tumblr and Pinterest however it does't always mean more sales...

CyberHustler 12-07-2012 05:38 AM

Follow, and get followed. Put up "follow us" links. Use http://dlvr.it

lbc213 12-07-2012 06:06 AM

Treat your porn twitter account like you would your personal one, Post things that people actually want to read not just click here for big tits, engage in conversation with people and just act like a human not a twitter auto poster thing.

I also invite twitter girls to send me their pics etc and I will post them up on my website. I have a "twiiter girls" section. This can drive a lot of traffic as some of these twitter girls have a massive following. Plus it makes them feel extra special that they are getting featured on my site.

Anyone have an idea what these limits might be?

fatfoo 12-07-2012 09:57 AM

Yeah, they will set rules about what is spamming and what is not.

CyberHustler 12-07-2012 10:03 AM

Never noticed any limits... but I ain't a power tweeter.

Make maximum use of APIs that are available via the social platforms themselves, but also through Wordpress plugins.

The max amount you can follow on twitter per day is stated clearly on their website... https://support.twitter.com/articles...-follow-people

Possibly.

I had business pages created off a personal one and when that got banned the whole lot vanished.

Yeah cause spam or illegal tubes don't make any money.

Following Twitter accounts for the only purpose of them following you back is fucking pointless. Just like your blogs have actual content, so should your Tweets...this is mirco blogging isn't it??

By Tweeting relevant Tweets and interacting and engaging in conversation with people is the best way to build followers naturally. Natural followers are the ones that are going to convert for you in the long run. ....these natural followers will be the ones that actually click your links when you post them....or signup for your promotions when you have them!

I recommend watching for trending hashtags (#porn, #livecams, #hugetits) and using those in your Tweets and EVERYONE NEEDS TO HAVE AN APPLICATION TO CONTROL YOUR TWITTER ACCOUNT...THIS MEANS YOU NEED TWEETDECK OR HOOTSUITE ...if you don't use one of these programs then you should just give up...I use Tweetdeck and manage tons of Twitter accounts and Facebook (non porn for FB) with ease.

Yes, the max you can follow per day is 1,000 - but I have yet to achieve 1,000 in a day without having an account suspended. They mark aggressive behavior, and what I am asking is if anyone has a specific number on how many users they can follow in one sitting; without looking aggressive?

Thanks for the tips! Although, I must disagree in some regard. Following users can be quite beneficial; especially with an adult twitter account. If you follow 100 users who are all following the same popular porn blog's account - you will likely get 30 or 40 of them to follow you. This means an almost immediate 30 or 40 followers that all like porn. Just a good way to jump start things.

That's actually a very good method.

On one of my DA accounts I made sure I was very selective of my 'art' content - posting pics I figured had an 'artistic merit'...and not once has someone commented that its spam. I went with black 'n white (conversion) shots mostly - with artsy-style studio lighting.

The trick is to get the pics included in related DA groups and communities to maximize their exposure and gain followers. I get daily requests by group owners asking to feature some of the shots in their community.

To follow someone just because they follow you is the dumbest thing in the world...what if that person never Tweets....what is the point in following them? And these ppl still might not like your Tweets...especially if you are just relying on TweetFeed to robotically spit out your rss updates...I know a few fellow webmasters in my same niche who have purchased and scrubbed out 20,000 plus Twitter followers but they never have any sales coming from Tweets....They often ask me to Tweet for them with my organic following of 6000-10,000 followers and get better results.

Harmon 12-08-2012 10:13 AM

The funniest part of this thread is that you are ALL doing it wrong. :1orglaugh

Sorry, I think you misunderstood. There is no need to follow those that have found you and followed you first. I agree.

However, seeking out like-minded users to follow will result in good organic followers. There is a 2,000 following limit, or a 110% limit; whichever is greater. So odds are you will be unfollowing them in the future anyhow, to make room for more. It's a quick way to build solid followers and make your twitter more appealing to those who look at it.

Waiter 12-08-2012 12:45 PM

hmmm ... never try before , but any traffic is welcomed for sure :thumbsup

Many surfers don't tweet. They just sign up to follow their favorite porn. Same on Tumblr.

You can use http://tweepi.com/ to unfollow those who don't follow back.

ImLarge 12-08-2012 05:40 PM

will check out that tweepi now
thanks
