video secrets white label

Be Aware!

For all those interested in having a whitelabel at videosecrets.com, I want to tell you some things I've discovered.

First thing, is that their whitelabels come by default with a "canonical" tag into the header, something like that: <link rel="canonical" href="http://www.flirt4free.com"/>. Obviously, with this line of code, your whitelabel will not get any credit from search engines, being seen just as a backdoor to flirt4free. Don't expect any search engine ranking with this line in place!
The good thing is that, by request, this can be removed.

The second thing, is that new whitelabels have a robots.txt file that will not allow search engines spiders to crawl the site. They say that this restriction will be removed once the website gets a steady amount of monthly traffic. Obviously, it can't be search engine traffic, since no search engine would rank a website that it can't crawl.
The bad thing about this second issue is that it can't be removed.

Good luck!

Good idea to try to improve search engine rankings with the right codes. They want more monthly traffic.

This applies to new affiliates who have less than 100 uniques lifetime including the all stats from their white labels. Once your account breaks 100 unique visitors, the robot.txt file goes away. There is no rule in the system that says "steady amount of traffic," lol. Hope that clears things up!

i have the same problem now, what's the point of not allowing site crawling prior to 100 uniques??

and btw, when the site was approved, robots.txt was ok since i checked it, it was changed later.
