Do you push the elevator button more than once?

Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?

moeloubani 12-07-2012 04:00 PM

doesnt matter if the elevator goes any faster, just pressing the button occupies your time and makes it seem like the elevator is coming faster which is all that matters

if youre standing there doing nothing while waiting for the elevator that means you're intentionally having a bad time considering you could be doing something else like looking into the mirror on the door or pressing the button which will make it seem like the elevator came faster and make you feel better.

if you are just standing there doing nothing angry that you're waiting that would make you an idiot. so tell us, do you push the elevator button more than once mrgica?

nope i push my floor button, and the close door buttons at the same time for a couple of seconds :)

epitome 12-07-2012 04:02 PM

I do. I don't think it's any faster, but there have been times when I've pushed it once and it didn't engage. I do it a few times to be sure.

Asparaguss 12-07-2012 04:02 PM

Nope I hit it just once.

MattO 12-07-2012 04:04 PM

depends on how close to my cock it is

fatfoo 12-07-2012 04:10 PM

You can push the button many times. It doesn't make the elevator go faster. Anyway, humans are not perfectly logical.

fitzmulti 12-07-2012 04:11 PM

Of course not! Doing that eats away at the small amount of time I have to crank out naked pics of the bitch that's in the elevator with me!
;-)

CourtneyR 12-07-2012 04:14 PM

doesn't come any faster. But its a button it wants to be pushed.

_Richard_ 12-07-2012 04:16 PM

elevator? no

traffic lights? oh yes.

BladeZ 12-07-2012 04:20 PM

They think it helps

adultchatpay 12-07-2012 04:34 PM

Once is enough

ImLarge 12-07-2012 04:36 PM

i push it 7 times for good luck

CyberHustler 12-07-2012 04:45 PM

I do if it takes long. It give me something to do while I'm waiting and cursing. I'm also that person who will yell and kick the shaft door if you're holding the elevator on another floor. Also, I call it "pressing the elevator", not button. I live in the hood and hate the elevator in my building... after waiting long, the damn thing is 9 times out of 10 filled with piss by the time you get in and you gotta stand around the edges. So I just get mad easily when it comes to the elevator.

LeRoy 12-07-2012 04:59 PM

Only to see the response from other people in the elevator :winkwink:

Vendzilla 12-07-2012 05:41 PM

older elevators just use contacts, so pushing it more does nothing, more modern elevators there is some software involved. So when some asshat pushes all the buttons and gets out on the next floor, the buttons he pushed get cancelled . I use to build them

More than once is a waste.

Relentless 12-07-2012 08:36 PM

Website design can learn a lt from elevator button design.
If a site doesn't make you want to push the join button like a 2 year old in an elevator... Fix it.

Nicolas 12-07-2012 09:39 PM

No, I don't.

pornsprite 12-09-2012 11:23 AM

I have been known to press the same button more than once simply out of habit

The Sultan Of Smut 12-09-2012 01:41 PM

I hit the close button 5 times if I hear someone coming. :321GFY

I tap a few times on the button, then tap it a few times until it gets to me when i hear it stop at different floors, although, yes, when knowing & thinking about it, it's on it's way, just making the stops first :1orglaugh

Nice thread, nice thought :thumbsup

the elevator in our office building is a wooden box which is easily 60 or 70 years old and completely mechanical - even the inner doors you have to close by hand, otherwise it doesnt move. Very convenient when someone leaves them open who got out at the top floor.

so you better dont push anything too hard on that one ;)
