wordpress/cpanel stupid question from me bloaded usage of disk space

in my cpanel i discover 10gb usage in other usage

it say:
Other Usage includes files outside your home directory and files that you cannot access due to system permissions.

what did i broke?

i have used plugin few days ago: auto post thumbnail, that have placed the thumbnail in my upload file, the increase in size there make sense, but what is that 10gb?

use some logic...

Other files are outside of your website.

Your plugin made files inside of your website.

Hence the plugin didn't create the added files.

Could they be backup files?

backup or tmp? Although you could access them so probably not

glad it worked out, I will hijack a thread - is it a way to backup mysql databases from cpanel all at once (not one by one)?

you mean backupbuddy?

to backup whole site or database from wp panel also tranfer to remote storage

i have made big fuckup now, all my transfer to remote storage have stored on server and not in remote location oh shit

Why 12-10-2012 04:29 PM

these could be backups, log files, system files, mail spool files, there are a number of things it could be, with that size i would guess its apache/error logs or backups.

ask your hosting company for help.

I'd put my vote on log files. They can sometimes get WAY out of hand quickly if you get decent amounts of traffic and get lots of movement around the site.

nope, I mean cpanel. There is option to back up your database, but you have to save them one by one... Why no "save all" option?
