Here's how to disable SafeSearch:

Visit the Google Preferences page.
In the "SafeSearch Filtering" section, select Do not filter my search results.
Click Save Preferencese.
http://support.google.com/websearch/...=en&answer=510

Modify SafeSearch setting
Many users prefer not to have adult sites included in search results. Google's SafeSearch screens for sites that contain explicit sexual content and removes them from your search results. No filter is 100 percent accurate, but SafeSearch should eliminate most inappropriate material. You can choose from among three SafeSearch settings:

Moderate filtering excludes most explicit images from Google Images results but doesn't filter ordinary web search results. This is your default SafeSearch setting; you'll receive moderate filtering unless you change it.
Strict filtering applies SafeSearch filtering to all your search results (i.e. both image search and ordinary web search).
No filtering, as you've probably figured out, turns off SafeSearch filtering completely.
To change your SafeSearch setting, tap the gear icon on the Google Search app home screen. Turn SafeSearch Off to stop filtering adult content from search results.

Note: The 'Moderate' setting filters explicit images only from your search results. The 'Strict' setting filters both explicit text and explicit images.

Why would this be a bad thing? If a surfer is looking for porn on Google images, they're going to find it. If anything, it's going to help a lot with image longtail results.. :upsidedow

I totally agree with this. :thumbsup

iSpyCams 12-12-2012 01:56 PM

And for some reason this caused the google image search traffic on several of my sites to spike.

Because they don't realize quality over quantity..

"What my Google search traffic is gonna lower but still produce the same amount of sales or maybe even more?!?! But then the bros on GFY won't like me because I don't have huge traffic numbers!!"

DBS.US 12-12-2012 02:04 PM

Just add "pussy"
Search: raven riley pussy

I've been checking it with a few VPN's and it does seem to be just the USA results for now.

It's like Google pre-webspam elimination algos.

TisMe 12-12-2012 05:25 PM

Looks like they've removed the unfiltered search option for image searches, but only in the US.

Gee, thanks Google.

EliteWebmaster 12-12-2012 06:10 PM

When I tried just now and googled "blowjob", this is the first pic I see :1orglaugh

Google shows a bunch of porn usually in the results. There is that "safe" option for less porn. Interesting...

Yeah, 9 out of the first 12 images are not hardcore. But it does get better as you go down the search list. But I'm definitely not liking this new google algorithm they have implemented. It's really dumb especially if we have our "Safe Search Off". Wasn't that the whole purpose of having a Safe Search feature in the first place? :disgust

Of course, I always disable safesearch, but I think less than 1% of the surfers have idea safesearch exists and disable it.

I think its right to do this safer for children google should only show porn/adult with safe search turned off

scouser 12-16-2012 10:49 AM

icm are trying to tell people to add 'xxx' to their search queries to find porn, or go straight to search.xxx (i think)... saw it on some non adult site (cant remember what one) today

googles change will no doubt help them get people used to adding xxx to searchqueries
