You can ad a blog to your site and you can make blogs on free blog sites and link back to your site.

Also the best for paid traffic are Juicy Ads and Plugrush.

Join message boards and add your site to your sig and post free samples of your content.

Also submit your stuff to reddit or stumble upon

Create posts that contain links to your site within them on FB, Twitter, Tumblr, etc and do your best to get them shared by others. Although the initial link is normally "no follow", the shared link works as a backlink.

Paid traffic is often not worth it and may even be harmful to your SEO efforts as most isn't quality and have high bounce rates. Most people who suggest Juicy Ads and Plugrush then provide a link in there comment or signature are actually trying to make a buck off of you for signing up for said services through affiliate programs.

If you are looking for productive traffic, your best hope is SEO. There are numerous threads on this site and elsewhere about it which I would encourage you to read into.

Good Luck!

start with trading links with other sites in your niche
join adut oriented groups on FB and make some of those "smash or pass" posts with a watermarked pic of your model

It really depends on the kind of adult site that you are starting...

Sometimes building long term brand recognition is more important than converting leads - in those cases it makes sense to invest in a pay campaign like Juicy Ads. So many adult sites are a flash in the pan, that a lot of times it doesn't seem to make sense to try and build a brand or a loyal following.

If you have unique content, it is often more lucrative to sell the content to other sites rather than trying to monetize it yourself.

SEO and adult are like oil and water - most of the techniques that you will come across for SEO on adult sites have long since been exploited and discovered by the engines, and will now negatively impact your site if you employ them. Quality content and time are really the only things you can bank on increasing your page rank - but no one wants to hear that.

If you'd care to offer more details about the nature of your site, I can probably be more helpful.

Linkbuilding, posts, blog, reviews, buy traffic, SEO, SEA their all millions ways to generate traffic. You should ask yourself the question, what do you do with mobile traffic?

Following are the few I believe will be a good way of getting Traffic:
1) Link trading with other website (CONS: At some point you may have dozzens of external links floating on your site, which to some people is annoying)
2) Join or make a relevant group on Facebook. Post there non naked version of your content.
3) If you have your unique content put watermark and post it wherever you are allowed.
4) Post on Twitter.

If people are still reading this post, I have had a pretty good deal of luck through tumblr. Although I believe they recently discontinued using "follow" links and now emphasize "no-follow", you can get a good amount of referral traffic should you be able to accumulate enough of a following. Also, you can use different anchor text, which isn't supposed to have a pronounced effect on SEO since it's no-follow, but I have noticed better results on my SERPs for my targeted keywords since using.

Also, I believe there is a pretty informative tumblr tutorial for adult webmasters in the "Educational Series" part of this site for those who want to check it out.

If it your first site you will need to buy traffic without a lot of feeding links there is little chance of success. Buy traffic even if you do not convert much you will learn lessons and with traffic you will have something to actually trade with.
checkout http://www.outtraffic.com to buy traffic.

There's many ways:
1) Create account in social networking sites and then post your weblink there. Be careful that some social network (i.e. facebook, pinterest) can ban you after some times if you post nude photos.
2) Join friendly forums and contribute to them. Then you are allowed to put your site in signature.
3) BUY or EXCHANGE TRAFFIC using ad network (Check my first signature => they are so far in my opinion is the BEST:thumbsup
4) Link trading with other webmasters.
5) Put interesting/niche related keywords and at time you will be listed by search engines for those keywords.

The best way to get traffic is linkbuilding in my opinion

TMM_Vlad 01-03-2014 10:17 AM

If you are running a paysite, dating, cam, or online store, you can set up an affiliate program and have affiliates push some additional traffic to your sites. :)

If anyone is interested in getting an affiliate program going for their site, please feel free to contact me to discuss more.

Directory submissions
comments
blogs
a handful of HIGH PR relevant back links
Lots of social media sharing ( can be automated if one wordpress or drupal etc)

You should see a good baseline figure coming in after that
