Why are mass shooters always white?
 

Or in the VT case, Asian? Where the brothers be at? I just find it odd that in all of the reading I've done on mass shootings, not a single shooter has been African American.

Over 500 people were murdered in Chicago in 2012. The vast majority happened in black neighborhoods. The media does not sensationalize these cases. Its possible 1 man shot more than 20 people in a single week and is still free. Who knows.

Because wanting to take a lot of people with you when you die is a "white people problem".

That wasn't a "mass shooting" where they went in with guns blazing taking out as many people as possible and then like cowardly bastards, take their own lives. That was more of a long distance, targeted victims, one shot / one kill type thing.

As a percentage of the population I dont think there is any real racial disparity there have been black serial killers as has been noted here...and dont forget wayne williams

Since serial killers and mass murderers tend to prey on their own race and black on black crime doesnt get as much media attention it just seems that there is a disparity....

It was an observation and not "classifying them by niche". It's a social issue and not racially charged. Foreign countries have seem mass killings by African Americans (Idi Amin as an example), but in the U.S. it appears most of the mass shootings are by financially well or moderately well Caucasians.

I'm Korean and the Korean from VT has the record for most deaths. Do you think I'm proud of that or something? And the first people to think shit is racist are usually the ones that are racist.

I believe so. Maybe there's a way African Americans raise their children, maybe it's the socioeconomic factor? Maybe there's shit we can look into other than making guns illegal that would help curb these senseless killings. So yes, it could very well be important. Maybe it's because white people are scared of disciplining their kids and raise self entitled pussies with mental problems whereas African Americans raise their kids to be self dependent and earn what they have, and get their asses spanked when they fuck up. Who fucking knows, but it's definitely something to look at.

Are you serious? Just look at the violent and gun crime statistics. The blacks own that shit. Just because you don't hear of them going on mass killing sprees doesn't mean they aren't out there racking up impressive body counts.

Just google black gun crime rate or violent crime statistics by race, etc. It's completely disproportionate.

Not to mention on average each day 87 people die to guns in this country and something like 120ish are injured by guns. I'd suspect the brother's represent their fair share of that.

Definitely part of the culture. Women aren't as "subservient" as they are in Arabic countries, but they certainly aren't held in the same esteem as males. But Korean men are VERY protective of Korean women.

There is a more common denominator in every mass shooting and you know what it is.

Racism became such a hot topic a decade or so ago that it is difficult to discuss race at all without people thinking you are racist, and in some cases, without second guessing yourself about whether or not you are being racist. I have a hard time discussing race in certain situations, things that I feel are perfectly normal questions, which happen to involve race, scare me, because everyone thinks it is racist to talk about race.

I'm white, and I noticed right away that the list of serial killers was mostly white guys, and mostly either late teens early 20's, or mid 40's to early 50's. Am I racist against my own race for noticing that?

I did a little research this morning, and I think I have a somewhat logical, or racist explanation, although I am sure everyone will find it racist:
1) There was one thing among the mass murders in the last 15 years in the US that was more common than the shooter being white, that was that the shooter committed suicide at the end.
2) When you walk into a public place, with a few hundred people around, and 50 bullets, you know you are not walking out of there a free man.
3) Mass murderers do not often have a desire to go to jail.
4) and this is the important one, white guys are almost 2.5 times as likely to kill themselves as black guys (now I am racist right:).

so a black guy might have just as much capacity to commit as devastating a crime, however, he realizes if he does he'll end up dead as well; "I want those guys dead, but I sure don't want to die, so I'll go about it quietly (or loudly but in the hood where reporters won't go) and hope no one is listening". I believe the white guys mentality is more along the lines of "No one gives me any attention, so before today is over, I will be dead, and people will be talking about be, now who should I take with me in order to maximize media coverage".

They report it, it just doesn't make national news. When you live near a major city in the US that has a lot of crime you will see that yea it is reported. However those kind of crimes usually don't make national news because they are so common.

It doesn't matter if they are White, Black or Brown.. unless there is something the national viewer base can relate to, or some reason the story has a pull, then average shootings don't get national coverage.

I would suspect it has something to do with twisted sense or feeling of entitlement and outcast as part of the majority where those same feelings as part of minority manifest different behavior, but clearly tends to lean towards white males more than others.
