question about menu items vs widgets on wp (seo question)

I have a question about the SEO impact of adding pages to my wordpress blog as menu items vs clickable widget links. I've been continually adding pages to my blog since it was built because I want it to be more than just a site with a few pics and payment buttons, but I'm getting to the point where my menu is becoming a bit cluttered. I actually have additional pages I've written but not yet published because I'm unsure as to where to place em

Is there an impact on SEO if I have page links/titles placed as widgets on my site underneath the menu, or in order to optimize SEO should all these pages be included in my menu?

Right now I'm trying to balance between having my site be a resource for both cam customers and cam girls, maximize my SEO and (most importantly) be a place for customers to easily learn more about/book my shows, and I'm afraid that if I add too much more to my menu the guys won't be able to find the booking info they need as easily

I've looked around online but I haven't seen anything that deals with SEO as it impacts upon menu items vs widgets

It could definitely affect your SEO with the larger engines. They take things like the content's position on the page and the way it is presented to the user as variables in their ranking algorithms. As far as how much it will affect it...there's really no way to know without trying it.

The best approach would be to nest your pages beneath a broader category-type menu rather than listing each individual page on your menu, but this could be a bear to do in Wordpress, I am not sure.

If it comes down to not displaying content vs. being unsure about SEO and displaying it, I would definitely put it out there however you can. Good content will negate any penalties you might incur from content organization.

I didn't realize that menu item placement could also affect SEO, so in light of your comments I played around a little with the items trying to balance the money-making aspects of my site (primary concern) with SEO and 'flow'

I'll look into the category options for wp as well, as ideally I want my topic pages to grow but still be easily accessible without having a ton of confusing links posted everywhere. I think that's pretty easy to do with posts, rather than the static pages I've been using thus far. Great idea, I hadn't thought about writing posts and organizing them by category as the content volume grows
