Jimmy Page 1957 - check this out! [vid]

Found this on YT earlier...just blew me away, watching Jimmy Page as a youngster on his first BBC TV appearance. The beginning of a legend.

And then later in his career.

And from 2007 Celebration Day

I've seen Jimmy Page play a handful of times over the years. Among the most memorable was a benefit concert for Ronnie Lane (ex-bassist for the Small Faces) in San Francisco back in 1983, in which Page did a solo set, and also jammed with an all-star band that included Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Ron Wood, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones, Ray Cooper, and Stevie Winwood, among other rock stars (John Paul Jones, Paul Rodgers, Joe Cocker, Jan Hammer, etc):

Jimmy hangs out in Pattaya, Thailand quite a bit. Not uncommon to see him roaming about or sitting in Starbucks.

JIMMY PAGE SIGNED GUITAR RAISES NEARLY TEN GRAND FOR THAI CHARITY
24th September 2012

An acoustic guitar personally autographed by Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page sold for a staggering 423,000 Thai Baht (approx £9,500) in an auction at the annual Jesters Ball held in the tourist resort of Pattaya, Thailand on Saturday.

A further 60,000 Thai Baht (approx £1,200) was raised for charity via a signed black and white photo of Jimmy page taken by photographer Ross Halfin.

He's done that a few times. Not sure if it's all with the Jesters but I hear of his charity work a few times a year. He has a house in Pattaya somewhere. But as you see, he's old as dirt now and unless you know who he is, he isn't very recognizable.

Seeing him in Starbucks or walking down the street is one thing, but sitting on his balcony while he plays epic Zepplin songs on an acoustic guitar would make me giggly.
