Pulling a 48 hour shift.
 

Going to work 48 hours straight to get everything on my list done by the end of this week so I can take all of next week off and relax.

That does kill motivation.

As long as it's routine work, pulling really long shifts isn't overly hard. Just make sure you do your more cognitive tasks first beforehand.

fail. everything ends sooner than 48hrs.

It never works for me. If I don't sleep five hours my next day is basically ruined and I have gained nothing.

Coming up on 24 hours now. . . with as much as I have done now it looks like I won't need to pull the full 48. I will be done with everything I needed to do by this evening so it should be more like a 36.

You can squeeze in a wank afterall then...

I have made the attempt to take it one step further. I sent a text to the girlfriend that said, "Will finish my work early. . . I can put it in you tonight after all."

Here response: "That was the most romantic thing anyone has ever said to me :) "
