technical question and "Resource Limit Is Reached..." (pics)
got this from my mainstream photography domain earlier today:
"Resource Limit Is Reached The website is temporarily unable to service your request as it exceeded resource limit. Please try again later" i'm running WP and amerinoc sent me the graph that showed my shit crashing the server. so far, they're not able to tell me what went wrong. would anyone here know? i'm running WP with a few plugins. i did add a blog yesterday, but there has been no activity on it yet. http://johnnyolsen.com/wp-content/ga...elway-nude.jpg |
maybe you have reached the limit if your server storage?
|
help me so I can take a look at it...
- do you use dedicated or shared server? - do you have a caching plugin for WP installed? - have you checked are you maxing out your Apache connections? |
Is one of your pics getting hotlinked somewhere?
|
Nice photo Johnny !

here's a screenshot of the badwidth.
http://johnnyolsen.com/upload/bandwidth.jpg[/IMG] 5 gigs for one day? 609 emails sent? something doesn't seem right. trying to get raw server logs :) http://johnnyolsen.com/wp-content/ga...otographer.jpg women's acting headshots |
Did you WP install get hacked. Check your .htaccess file and see if there are any crazy entries into it. Also maybe check for other directories. I had a WP get hacked and they uploaded a bunch of pics and were using my server to host them.
|
looks like you were hacked and someone is sending email via your server
|
And dont forget to change all your passwords (email accounts, ftp, etc)
|
For that volume of emails it doesn't look like someone is bulk mailing from your account. There is a popular PHP shell that phones home via email every time the shell is loaded which could account for that volume of emails. If you have shell access then try this from the root directory of your blog:
Code:
grep -i -r wso * |
those 609 emails were INBOUND (spam) amerinoc has been great, i have a subaccount that i will need to let go and have them get their own account. (they're probably the cause)
|
.htacess looks fine, amerinoc suggested:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/w3-total-cache/ to reduce the load on the CPU and database :) |
wordpress is shit :2 cents:
