Can money really buy happiness?
Quote:

When I make a lot of money I feel much more happy with life in general and it can go on for months. I can only speak for myself but when people say 'Money can't buy happiness' it's complete bullshit.
This sounds like the propaganda that comes before a rise in taxes :1orglaugh

IT sure would FUCKING HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#$#%@#% lmao
Hookers make me happy when I give them money, so there is truth to that video.
Let's look at four different scenarios:-
1. Being Given Money 2. Spending Money 3. Winning Money 4. Making Money Number 4 can bring happiness, the rest less so :2 cents: |
That depends on whether or not you're an idiot.
money is the source of evil
for short time, yes but in long run you need family, friends.....
I would be happy with lots of cash :)
money doesn't buy happiness, the same as being poor doesn't. It's such a fucking stupid phrase 'money doesn't buy happiness!' that it actually is one of the few things that infuriates me. You might as well go around saying 'moonshoes don't make your wallpaper fall off!' - it's that fucking dumb.
It's a phrase invented/repeated by people who are more on the side of making money some kind of 'evil' thing that should be avoided, so that they get to have more of it, while the peasants never expect/want/aspire to make real cash lest they get some BS cursed bad luck or some shit. Dumb fuck statement on so many levels that it's not even a real question imo (that's not a dig at the OP btw, just my stance on this continually asked 'question'). |

I'm not sure if a LOT of money can buy happiness, but I am willing to give it a try
Many of the things you can do with money certainly are fun and make life more interesting.
While happiness comes from inside you ... Money is sure nice to have when a shitty day hits and you want to blow off steam and party.
Anyone who says money = happiness has never had a lot of money.
Sure its great to head off to a different part of the world on a whim, or buy any type of car you want, or have people treat you well because they think you are rich but there lies the problem. You cannot fully trust a single fucking person besides your mom. I can't keep up with the friends I've lost because they couldn't handle the fact that my life had changed and theirs hadn't and backstabbed in one way or another. Same with most family members. If you're single yea just about every woman loves you, but they don't love you, they love your money. If you're married hopefully you have one of the few decent women (and there arent many) otherwise you're in for more hell when her, every one of her friends and family are trying to figure out a way to fuck you out of everything when things go bad. This is why people with a lot of money are distrusting pricks, because people by nature are selfish parasites and are always thinking in the back of their mind how to get theirs from you. |

If it's being loved and surrounded by friends and family, no. Money can complicate that. If it's materialistic things, hookers, blow, traveling the world, and so forth.... yes. :2 cents: |

I think yes, if you equate happiness to peace of mind. But if you equate happiness to lots of expensive possessions and a flash lifestyle, then inevitably no.
money is a tool, nothing more nothing less. You might as well ask if hammers = happiness. It's a non-question.
I dont know but i’d rather cry in a Bentley than in a mazda
It's all about the timing with Propaganda, it's also about making it seem like it's just from some random dude on the Internet, but this is far too slick :2 cents:
Video Published on Dec 20, 2012 BBC News 21 December 2012 US fiscal cliff: Boehner still hopes for deal http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20810358 "Republicans will keep working to avoid the so-called fiscal cliff of tax rises and spending cuts, House Speaker John Boehner has said. Earlier, right-leaning Republicans rejected a plan by Mr Boehner to raise taxes on higher earners." |
I spend a lot of money on my brothers and my mother and it does make me feel happier so I guess that video isn't total bs.
sometimes yes
I have enough to make me happy.I refuse to become a slave to it,I'll never become a baller and that's ok,I still have my health, look at Quiet..RIP

My girlfriend says yes...In fact she cant get enough.. So now I'm broke and I like to stay that way. Just enough to keep the juices flowing. I like to think of her as the IRS and keep two separate set of books.
if you can buy weed , then yes money can buy happiness.

I'm no big baller and all my life I said money can't buy happiness, but now I know better.
Just got done with a 9 year relationship/marriage. Im supposed to be sad, right? But the sudden amount of extra money saved has made me happier than I've been in years. Pretty much blocked all sadness. We both work and never had any kids, but now with only my income I have a lot more money in my household and can have a lot more fun. It truly is amazing how that works. :pimp That fucking bitch... |
Yes it can.

Depends how many problems you want, and how many hookers you can afford.

not having to worry about the end of the month when the bills have to be paid......it helps a lot ;)

money can buy things that can make you happy
One useful thing is if you get rich,is to hide that fact from almost everyone(even your mother),cause it can complicate things, for example you have dumb brother who is not capable to find job so you have to hire him because he is your brother and then you just lose money since he is dumb.So in shortly as it say money can buy happiness if you spend it properly.
Money doesn't make you happy , but it does allow you to be miserable in some degree of comfort ;-))
Money DOES buy you happiness !! In the gold rush age of this business when I was getting in $3k-$4k weekly CCbill payments, along with assorted check sizes from many other sponsors, I was happy as hell :) Now, without that money, I'm not so happy :(
The thing that's really fucking stupid about people's arguments is that "Money can't buy family or someone to love you" is that they're using the scenario that you're a fat ugly loser that has no family or anyone to love them whereas not the reality that you already have family and are at least an average Joe that could get a woman. Money DOES eliminate stress with bills, which is huge. Also, money allows you to go on vacations to create many memories. I myself used to treat my friends to an annual football trip to Green Bay, I'd buy good seats between the 30-50 yard line and pay for the hotel, which wasn't cheap. I'd spend my summers out camping with my wife and kids, creating lifelong memories for all of us. So yes, I believe it DOES buy happiness. |

Which eliminated those who had survived on 'blind luck' and left those intelligent enough to adapt. It's how the world works. :2 cents: |
Money doesn't make me happy too :( But they need for comfort .
Sure, money can buy you happiness. If you're incredibly shallow.

For instance if I would be filthy rich I would not be much more happy then I am now, which is just making good living. I do not dream about private jets or stuff like that, if somebody gave one to me I would say "well its cool, but I have fun flying commercial" :) Same with cars - bentleys and stuff are nice but I am not sure if I would feel much better in one of them compared to lets say nice "regular" BMW. |

Money is more universal tool which can be used to purchase many tools (such as a hammer). And all those things and tool you purchase can make you feel better, happier. |
