I just wanted to post a quick update for those that helped me finance some of my uncles medical treatments. For those that weren't around, you can read about his condition HERE.

Ronnie started his battery of treatments a few weeks ago in Kansas City. There has already been a noted improvement in his condition, and he wanted me to post what happened to him about 1 1/2 weeks ago. During one of his overnight stays in KC, Ronnie suffered a minor stroke. Ronnie's regular doctor followed the stroke with a series of tests, standard practice of course. His doctor told him that if he would have stroked three weeks ago before his treatments, this stroke could have done permanent damage, or worse, killed him.

Ronnie has called my house a couple times to thank myself, and all of you for saving his life. I have also received thank you notes from other members of his family. When I originally gave Ronnie the check for $4K, he was speechless. I wish it could have been a moment for all of you to witness, for it was one of the most touching moments of my life.

We may not have raised enough to fully fund the treatments that he is getting (especially after the cost of the stroke tests) but we did make a tremendous difference in another man's life. Ronnie told me that when he gets back to 100%, he will be able to get a job so he can pay everybody back...I hope you don't mind, but I told him that he didn't need to because I didn't know who half of the donations came from :winkwink:

I could never properly thank you enough for helping us out. Rona (Ronnie's sister) may be sending out some thank you's through email....she got some addresses from me the other day.
