PinStrap is a responsive WordPress theme that uses Twitter Bootstrap and mimics the famous Pinterest! The homepage automatically resizes images and places them in a responsive grid thanks to the Wookmark jQuery plugin.

We have also experimented with some ajax to provide the infinity scrolling feature on the homepage. Included with all the other goodies is the awesome Twitter Bootstrap framework! Use all the great HTML/CSS features and jQuery functionality throughout PinStrap.

responsive design
infinity scroll on homepage
left sidebar page template
sitemap page template
full width page template
theme options for customization
includes two Google fonts
includes colorbox lightbox
make your WordPress site look like Pinterest

I might have to give this a try on one of my blogs. Thanks, Fris!

Is there more zip files inside the main download file? I've made that mistake before, where you need to seperate the theme and plugins from the main zip, and install them seperately.

I'll give it a shot here.

Why do the pages display as united with no clickable link

LouiseLloyd 12-22-2012 09:42 AM

@Fris do you have your own blog/site with all your wordpress themes/suggestions, plugins, tips etc?

If you don't, you should, you are certainly a valuable resource on the subject.

Anyone else have the problem with pages displaying as Untitled on the index

acrylix 12-22-2012 10:51 AM

Thanks for sharing fris. :thumbsup Just downloaded this and am checking it out right now. One thing I noticed is that re-sized wide angle images naturally become shorter, and the hover over on them gets cut off. When this happens, only the first words of the post title are visible on mouseover, and it's impossible to click the zoom/link icons. Anybody noticed this?

Not sure if this is what you're talking about, but the only place I noticed Untitled appearing was in the top menu bar. To change that, you need to set a custom menu in WP (Appearance > Menus). Create a menu with whatever pages/categories/whatever you want in it and save. Then on the right-hand side under "Theme Locations" select the menu you just created from the "Top Menu" dropdown and click save.

im getting the same thing anyway to solve this

just a punk 12-27-2012 06:36 AM

Good theme but took me about a half of a day to make it look and act in the way I need (make search/archives/tags look the same way as the home page, remove the unnecessary Java scripts from single pages, make thumbnails clickable instead of those fiddly "link" and "view" icons and many more...)

fitzmulti 12-27-2012 11:08 AM

Looks sweet!

Maybe you already do, but you're resourceful enough to be a valuable consultant Fris. :2 cents:

Very nice

mineistaken 12-27-2012 07:09 PM

ok so whats the benefit of twitter bootstrap here? I mean what if this exact theme would be done not using twitter bootstrap, what would be the difference? Why should we care if it was done using bootstrap or not?

Would be interested to see what you did with this. Was planning on using this theme with CyberSEO for a gallery site, but wasn't sure what javascript to edit/remove in order to get rid of those unnecessary mouse overs.

Code:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="<?php get_template_directory_uri(); ?>/css/font-awesome-ie7.css">
with this:
Code:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="<?php echo get_template_directory_uri(); ?>/css/font-awesome-ie7.css">
