I've never done this internext thing.
 

Checking into hotel prices airfare show passes and all and I'm wondering if there is enough business opportunities there to justify it or if it's just one big party.

Any input from those who have been in recent years?

Parties with smelly 200 webmaster and 3 paid porn chicks in a hotel room are amazing fun. For most of those guys it's the first time they see tits in real life.

Oh and tons of business. Errr i mean business cards. Which everyone throws in the bin before leaving.

Of all the shows in the year, there is only 3-4 worth going to in my opinion, Vegas is one of those shows. We always do a lot of business there, have done for several years now. PHX Forum and Amsterdam are the other 2 that are well worth the money. I also hear great things about Qwebec Expo, I've never personally been but I will be checking it out this year for sure.

Phoenix forum is really nice.

If going for the parties, would re-think it.

Agreed... In the last few years shows have become much more about business and face to face contact, that's not to say there's not a few drinks shared.

Also, I think its really dependent on the individual if they are interested in making some business deals or just partying.

I only went for 24 hours last year and got a TON of business done.


I also had some fun. I guess it's about how well you manage your time, including who you spend it with.

What are you looking to accomplish? It's hard to know if it would be worthwhile for you without knowing what you are looking to buy, sell etc. I find Internext to be very fruitful for the business that I'm looking for.
