It's not Hollywood. They're a business pandering to the needs of its customers... Society.

Society as a whole has gone to shit over the last 10-15 years, even commercials on tv treat the viewers like they are ignorant fools, have you ever actually sat down and watched a couple of tv commercials, they talk to the viewer like they are in third grade, use images that do not even correlate to the products they are hocking and tell the viewer basically, 'if you don't buy our product you are a fool' and the sheeple flock...

The movie Idiocracy wasn't all that wrong with the way it portrayed society in the future... We are slowly being dumbed down over periods of years, education systems are having the level of excellence lowered, year after year after year, pretty soon an 'education' in America will only require the student to be able to spurt product names out of their mouths along with their unique ID number so they can pay for said product.

Well said. If people didn't go see/buy/watch garbage, they wouldn't make it.

That seems kind of stupid. I was in preschool when I was barely four and then in kindergarten by the time I was barely five. By age twelve I was way ahead of normal children and basically completely finished with high school and taking some beginning college courses.

Well, I quit when I was twelve, because fuck it. But I was on a good track there. Preschool is really good for children. Not sure why anyone would want to hold them back, though.

If I hadn't gotten into hustling and bullshit when I was very young I'd probably have seventeen degrees by now and some big fancy on the grid job (due to the solid start)

Honestly, from the first time I ever saw the movie Idiocracy, I thought of it as a prophecy of what will eventually come true. It's sad but that movie really isn't that far off from reality. The dumb and under achievers breed like flies while the doers & smart have very few children, it's only a matter of time until the human race breeds it's self into a decline of intelligence.

A few years before Idiocracy, but this segment has a similar idea, that over time losers meeting each other via dating services will eventually breed an entire race of idiots "...that will only be capable of saying okay, and writing checks."
