Have you seen this new movie called Cherry (or in some countries "About Cherry") ? It is about a girl who completely screws up her life by getting addicted to drugs and then hits the ultimate low and ::gasp:: gets into porn.

The supposition of the movie seems to be that the only reason any girl becomes a porn model is because her life is completely fucked up and she has no choice. To what extent do you feel this is true?

I don't believe this is true, but when times are rough for some of my female friends, they ask if I'm still shooting content or if I know anyone who's hiring models. I never take them seriously.

I think when some women hit rock bottom, they are more likely to turn to prostitution than porn.

I love how some times people think that porn is scraping the bottom of the barrel. Most of us fuck for free, just for the fun of it. If you can fuck for the fun of it and get paid, that's win win.

I know there are a ton of girls who've hit rock bottom and do porn because they have no choice, and others who are trying to survive until their acting/modelling career gets a lucky break. But I agree with you, and I think there are a lot of people who love fucking in front of a camera and getting paid for it.

Movies like Cherry seem to be saying that doing porn is a job on par with restroom cleaner at Tacobell that is avoided by all but the most desperate.

screen writers seldom have any life experience so why would you even wonder about any thing they would write?

a screen writers total experience with porn is what some other screen writer wrote from reading another screen writer that watched a movie written by another screen writer that .... etc etc etc...

Well all the models I did work with sound like they enjoy a lot what their doing and often have a other job so that is more a hobbies for them. Same about the cam girl i know, they enjoy it and they like to have the freedom to work any time they want. Mable it because I'm not from a poor city so the dynamic not the same.

I watched the movie and it really wasn't like that at all... Like, at all. A girl got into making porn independently of any reliance and had a mixed bag time with it. James Franco was the enemy in that film... Not porn.

your right. the girl in it didnt "Hit rock bottom". True her life at home was not a good one, but it was a good little movie.

shit some of the girls I work with don't need a dime, it is like they do it to rebel or something. One girl just loves the attention also. Others do it because they are lazy and it is a lot easier then anything else they can do
