What is the turn around time for a porn scene for the big sites?

hi,
just curious at what the turn around time is for a scene for a site like Bangbros is?

Say you have a scene like this;
http://www.bangbrosnetwork.com/video...ami_114195.htm

How long would it take from filming to go through production etc to finally go live to the site?
1 day, 1 week, 1 month?

Christy Mack is pretty fuckable..

depends on to many things. Our could be today or a month from now depending on the girl. How busy I am. Who the person is buying it.

How long to process this video from bang bros?

It would probably take about one minute, perhaps slightly more, to process this content by deleting it. This content features an ugly girl covered in unsightly tatts, with shaved head and fake tits and male talent who can't get an erection. Does that answer your question? The only processing this content needs is the delete button.

For those of you who film; never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never,
never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, show a limp dick, period. Never as in never.

With this kind of content I think bangbros is vulnerable to competitors.

I hope it's not like most of the indie films I've worked on.

3 days - 3 weeks to shoot. All over a year in post production.

:thumbsup:thumbsup yeah, pretty much, could be up in a few days to shelved a few months...just company choice and following the trends of the girl, scene, marketability..

hmm... kind of a stupid question then.

like asking, "how long is a piece of string" lol.

From what i can estimate... girls posting on twitter what theyre doing to the scene they were shooting coming out... about 3 weeks

JP-pornshooter 01-09-2013 07:01 PM

it varies depending the site.. ok you say big programs.
easily 30 - 60 days from shoot day to content going live.

Big programs hire separate shooters, editors, and webmasters. It's a cluster. Takes forever and it's inefficient.

Me? For our little AVN Nominated site...I can shoot a scene that afternoon and have it LIVE and making money by that evening. (and I've done that many times)

We release things half a year later or more for many reasons.

Could you do the same if you owned 15 sites like that? Of course not, which is why all of the other people come into the picture.

Us too :)
We actually shot a scene during the AVN/AEE show during the show hours, and by the time we left the room for an after party, the scene was live on the site.
My wife Barbi Sinclair has worked for Brazzers and the scene took months to show up on the site.
I guess it really depends on how much content you have in the closet :)

I have some scenes that I don't release until a year after shooting. Why? I have a large collection of content in the can waiting for release. That's they way I like it. I'd feel pretty vulnerable if I only had enough content to last a week or a month. It could be disastrous for me if anything went awry and I had nothing to update the site with. I couldn't imagine having to scramble to bodge together a few sets at the last minute. Much of my release schedule is also dictated by the fact that I always travel to foreign countries for a month at a time to shoot and then spend a month or two in post production before repeating the process. Since I don't like to have all scenes from one country or location released at the same time I make sure I am far enough ahead in content that I have multiple collections to select from and mix up the releases.
