Any good methods to 'clean' referral urls?

From clicked links such as 'exit' links on paysite tours so I can send them to non adult offerings at places like CJ etc?

It wouldn't be hard, create a fake product review site in wordpress or something and send traffic through there so it shows as the referring URL. :2 cents:

+1 You might want to also double redirect or have an intermediary link on the adult site which goes to another neutral domain so if someone checks for links to the mainstream site your adult site will not show up as a link.

Yeah I wouldn't recommend it myself. A better idea might be to come up with your own mainstream product if you have a ton of exit traffic, or sell products for companies that don't care like weight-loss or something.

Or hack some 3rd party mainstream site and put a redirector on that, then redirect all your traffic through that. Changing to a new one each day.

Not that I'm recommending it -- just that I was the 3rd party last week! very annoying, logs shows I had 10,000 hits to a nothing site. And I find they were all redirects that never even saw my site!

Strange point though is that the next day I got a boost in Google for that site, I think G must have noticed I had a sudden surge in traffic and thought I had something good...

Sorry, bro. I had no idea that was one of your servers.

A double META-refresh cleans the ref-url in most browsers but you should really use a landingpage with CJ.com. Believe me, I know.
