i have this one guy, who stole ( because i consider creditcard fraud stealing ) a lot of money from us.
he comes with the same IP address every time, so im guessing its his dedicated ip address.
i really dont knwo what to do, he seems to have endless supply of stolen creditcard data.
what should i do? if i block his ip, he will just use proxy :(
:Grrrrrr

he is not coming through an affiliate.. he is a member, who spends money from stolen cards on our models, watching webcam sex, and we have to pay the girls, and refund all his transactions :(

Every cam site has these bastards.

Send me an email to paul at my gfy user name dot com and I will give you some things to try.

For obvious reasons I cannot tell you here.

AllAboutCams 01-11-2013 04:08 AM

do other people do this how would you stop them

Emil 01-11-2013 04:13 AM

I think you should look up the IP and contact ISP and police in that country. Hopefully he's stupid enough to use his own IP.

Wouldn't a simple IP block suffice?

My opinion is that you should still block his IP. Otherwise, you're doing nothing on a presumption of what he'll do next, of which he has given no indication.

You should still block his IP address, and keep blocking them. Proxies that are fast enough to stream video through are not usually free, so you can keep him busy by blocking his available IP addresses. The idea is not to to make your site foolproof, because it never will be. It's just to make you a less easy target so he can go be someone else's problem for awhile.

Hurting his rights? This isn't McDonalds. Block his ass.

Barry-xlovecam 01-11-2013 11:06 AM

A fraudster using his own IP? IP block him at the pay page -- don't give him any message just load a blank page with the background image.

His fun is over and he cannot figure out what happened.

See if you can get any Police interest -- internet credit card fraud is a crime in most places.

OR just have your processor block his IP. He will get declined with some generic message. He will think none of his stolen CC's are any good.

adultmobile 01-11-2013 11:47 AM

I gets lots of that fraudsters every week or even every day, they're of many types. If that's always the same ip it is quite easy, you ban the ip. If the guy returns with many new IP's, depends if these are IPSs or servers - if that's servers you can email servers easier. At times I can get his real IP from flash (uses OS and not browser, depends if he use a VPN), then I mail him his real IP, this scare some. If that's not scary enough and he returns, I mail him with in cc: the police mail of his area + the abuse of his own ISP, adding translation in his language. To a vietnam guy I mailed in cc: the minister of interiors or so, could not find smaller officials. The minister even replied... but not him.
Some guy persists even you show his own ip with in cc: the whole police and ISP's of his nation, then last resort, I give him link to other competing cam sites. This is a little bastard to do, but it works at times to have him look elsewhere, and stop pester me (sorry).

Please send me info on this asshole we have one were having problems with as well. [email protected]

You are clearly a very knowledgeable guy on cams and many other subjects adultmobile, but the problem is that you don't have any filters. You seem to churn out advice and opinion without any idea or concept of what you should share in public and what you shouldn't. :2 cents:

I would not call myself a wikileaks guy for just writing some detail here and there. I am filtering lots of stuff always (believe it or not), is just if compared with GFY standard spammy or unlikely conspiracy posts. Compare with science forums, my posts are incomplete and secretive. Is just GFY guys think they know special secrets and tricks and if someone else knows the same their business is gone, honestly to tell all the info to competitors and hackers is fine and even funny if they don't make use of it, my 2 cents.

pimpmaster9000 01-12-2013 05:10 AM

this is credit card fraud pure and simple and no matter where he lives you should report him to the police and get local police involved as well...if he is using a static IP he is easy picking....

Penny24Seven 01-12-2013 08:39 AM

lagcam knows stuff nobody else knows ever LOL don't let the secret out of the bag

The lagcam guy runs a real cam site, unlike 99% of other posters who at best are affiliates, so respects. Just I was surprised he spanks me for talk with "no filters", could he specify what should have been filtered here or previously.
What I could guess 1) I had teached carders secret procedures the cam sites do against them? Or 2) I been now hated by streamate, livejasmin and myfreecams since I advise returning carders to go other sites, but no as big sites are not friendly with me in any case. Maybe he think I'm mailing carders "to go lagcam instead", but no, lol, to small sites I'm friendly, talk with some regularly and send them models to register, so to combat the top sites oligarchy.

By the way today a carder came back after months (he could fool me a few sales past year) but could recognise immediately as the guy used very similar nickname and email, he's really no "hacker". Carders please learn, change nicknames completely. His IP's on land now redirects to FBI cyber crime page, maybe scares him to end there or maybe no.

I don't know why everyone is so afraid of talking about anti fraud tactics and methods for discovering carders. Carders are not smart. It's not a smart way to make money. You don't build relationships, you just burn bridges in font and behind you all day long. Sooner or later there are going to be diminishing returns. Of course i have some advanced tactics for detecting card thieves that I would never share, but basic stuff that everyone should be doing anyway (reviewing transactions daily, blocking abusive IPs etc.) are not secrets.

This post is exactly what I mean, but if you can't see why, I am not going to spell it out here. You can mail me to paul at my gfy user name dotcom if you really want to know.

Barry-xlovecam 01-14-2013 06:59 AM

One IP address is too fucking easy ...

Code:

iptables -A INPUT -s 100.100.100.100  -j DROP

BareBacked 01-14-2013 10:27 AM

block his IP first

It coudl be you have a point, but why don't you emailed me in first place rather than post here? I see you don't want to disclose what I had not to disclose, which seems consistent with the non disclosure policy. But you feed the troll when you disclosed before, that I should not disclose certain details, without tell what ones and why. Is like you post the first episode of Lords of the Rings and refuse to post next ones, obviously readers will want you to disclose the part 2, is like "I know this but I don't tell you what". Either you had simply posted "please mail me" in first place (or better, you had emailed me with no posts), so to keep the whole "no filters" topic outside the forum, or you had disclosed full story with examples, so your point was fully made.
