We've had stuff move itself in the studio on numerous occassions, kitchen drawers pulled out, money appear from nowhere several times (including foreign currency), a watch that vanished and reappeared in another room on another floor, a TV that constantly turned itself on, unusual perfume smells, male and female voices heard by several family members...and a bunch of other unexplainable things throughout the house over the last ten years.

James Randi has a million dollars to give away for any person that can prove anything supernatural.
MILLIONS of people claim supernatural stuff. Not ONE has been able to prove it's real. Not one. Read again: not one. |
I don't have a million dollars but i will give 10k dollars to any person who can prove anything supernatural.
Let me know if you want to apply. |

I find it more of an annoyance than anything. Although...it came in handy one time not long after my back surgery. We were re-doing the basement flooring after a minor flood, and had to move furniture and and home theatre gear around as we worked. One heavy bookcase shelf in particular I wasn't looking forward to lifting so soon after the surgery...moved itself while we were out of the room. Only my wife and I were home at the time - and there was no damn way she moved it herself. True story. |
Guys, you do realize that ghosts don't exist, don't you? Just like Jesus etc. Whenever we see them is due to chemical imbalance in the brain.

DirtyF once had a disturbing anal raping by an incubus - but since he refuses to believe in the supernatural - he thanks Juicy instead. |

Right now we're at a point where stuff like this can be explained scientifically. We know why people think they see ghosts, why they feel god, why they believe there is a heaven etc. A small group of people understand this and accept this. A huge fucking group of people refuse to understand this. They can not handle the fact that life if nothing more than a working brain and death is when your brain stops working. It's better explained here: |
Quote:
Put 100 people together in a room, turn off the light and have 1 person say that he feels something. A warm spot here, a cold spot there. A lot of people will claim they felt the same thing. |
Quote:
You can not understand this as long as you reject it. And i understand why you want to reject it. Because it tells you you are wrong. And nobody wants to admit he is wrong. Walk outside on a busy day. Look up. If you do it long enough other people will look up. Say you saw something weird. You saw something moving through the clouds. Noone will pay much attention to you. Now repeat this experiment with 3 friends. You and 2 friends, 10 meters apart. Do it again, look up to the sky and say "wow, did you see that object moving through the clouds!?" and have your 2 friends say the same thing at the same time. This time there will be 10 people who who heard the 3 of you claiming the same thing and right away they're pretty sure they saw it as well. Not 100% sure but hey if 3 people mentioned it, it must be real. Those 10 people go home. They're sitting at the dinner table with their wife/husband and 2 kids. That person says "you know what i saw today! etc". His wife/her husband ovbiously will believe it. And the 2 kids as well. The next day at their job. "my husband saw this object moving through the clouds. Way faster than anything human made could move". Bullshit! "no, it was real because at least 10 people saw it, and my husband would never lie!". Dude goes home and during dinner tells his wife "You won't believe what i heard today! 30 people saw the same bright orange UFO flying around for 10 minutes!" Bullshit! "no really, how can THIRTY people see it at the same time if it wouldn't be true!". I could go on forever but you get the point. |
People who believe in supernatural stuff seriously need to apply Occam's razor to their theories. In ANY "supernatural" event there are at least 10 more better and explainable non-supernaturallreasons why this occured.
But again, if you refuse to accept this kind of reasoning then you believe this won't apply to you. This simply means you are religious. And we all know how religious people are. Most likely your reply will be "why don't you prove it isn't real what i saw". |
Dirty F,
its not up to you to live other peoples lives and opinions for them. I have seen strange things in my time (no ghosts) that were not of man.. Repeatedly. You should keep an open mind and know one thing for sure, that you don't know jack shit. |
Drugs are bad. Ghosts do not exist. If u believe they do then go see a doctor

Like you, I'm only saying I've seen and experienced strange things...things I have no explanation for (yet). I'm glad he thinks he has all the answers. |
Ghosts do not exist. :2 cents:

ok a true ghost story from my web designer, names have been changed to X and Y. complete with photos....
First .. I don't know if I told you about the "face" ... A few months ago .. X came out of the downstairs bathroom and looked like she'd seen a ghost .. Obviously she had ... She told me she was washing her face ... and kinda just like out of a horror movie ... looked in the mirror and she saw a face behind her shoulder. She said it had long black hair, a white face and only shadows for eyes. It was there for a couple of seconds and then was gone. We both decided to not tell Y about it ... A week ago ...Y came to me, freaked out and announced she had just seen a ghost ... a "face". I asked what kind of face. She said ... it had long dark hair, a white mask, and no eyes. . they saw the SAME face ... I have not seen the face ... Kinda hope I don't ... but there is something going on with specifically me ... thankfully me and not Y ... but alarming nonetheless ... A few mornings ago ... I woke up to a strange feeling ... my neck was very cold .. and tingling ... with what felt like the sensations of hands on my neck. NOT choking or violent or anything like that .. but just a very specific sense of cold hands, a tiny bit of tightness. It went away when I sat up .. I tried to put it out of my head ... chalked it up to just some random freak thing. Later that day ... keeping in mind that my bed is also the couch in the living room .. I had been working all day ... Y does not sit on that couch/bed .. She sits on a wicker loveseat ... I barely sit on it either since I'm almost always at the computer ... We brought our dog in ... and soon as he got to the living room .. he started growling/barking at something near or around my bed ... Just intently looking at something ... and gruffing. Y let go of his leash and he ran over to the bed ... We walked over to where he was and what you see in the first four pictures is what we saw ... Hand prints ... strange hand prints ... The first four photos are from that day ... The other prints in the pics are of Y and I attempting to duplicate the effect .. but as you can see .. we could not make our prints look shadowed and strange like that. This was also right where I put my head when I sleep lol. Anyway ... that passed ... tried to not think about it ... Today I was working but I had not made my bed yet like I always do when I get up ... it was bugging me .. so I went over and made it. I smoothed out the comforter and made a very specific mental note at NO handprints had been seen since ... As soon as I was done ... I immediately went outside to get some wood for the woodstove... came back in and put the wood down. As I turned around for another trek outside for more wood ... my eyes saw my comforter ... the comforter I had just smoothed out ... and the last four pics are from today. I feel like the most insane person in the world even repeating these things lol ... this kinda of crap just isn't supposed to happen ... but I feel the need to express it to someone. It's just getting a little bit hostile ... Last night I was in here standing with my coffee cup talking to Y ... and as I was talking ... my cup got knocked out of my hand and flew about 5 feet onto the carpet ... So .. that's kinda the latest in Paranormalville ... http://onlinegirlfriend.net/wp-conte...handagain4.jpg http://onlinegirlfriend.net/wp-conte...handagain2.jpg |
nope, never seen one. Why, because they dont exist!!

Where have i seen that before? I know! In religious and conspiracy threads. Actually i am extremely open minded! Show me proof for any of your claims and i will believe you. I will badkcally believe anything as long as you can show me it exists. But here we have the big problem. Because none of you idiots EVER have any proof. Not one single person ever on this earth has been able to prove anything supernatural. Take a guess what could be the reason for that. |
I know from personal experience that they exist. Enough odd encounters to convince me of that. Now I don't think they are quite as common as the TV shows make them out to be, but there is something non-corporeal out there.

Believers have something in them that makes them want to believe it is a ghost. I look at a bizarre situation, a bizarre thing that happened, and I sort of scratch my head and think "WTF?" I need more than "man that's really weird, it must be a ghost." If the idea of a ghost was never planted in our heads. How would we conclude that there was a ghost just because a situation was bizarre? What is present in that situation that says "hey, it must be a ghost." The internal desire is similar to a highly religious person thanking the Gods for saving their child in a car crash. Yet I always wonder, why would this great God put the kid in the car crash to begin with? Anyway, that's a different subject… But it's the same internal desire. The wanting to believe in something because we cannot explain it "rationally." Are there ghosts? Are there Gods? Are there aliens? I don't know, there could be, I am open to the possibility, but I need way more than "my child was saved in a car crash" or "the coin jar moved to the living room" as proof. |
Silentknight is such a pathetic idiot.
He opened a thread claiming weird stuff happened and was wondering what it could because he didn't really believe in ghosts yet every possibility people came up with he dismissed instantly and basically implied that a ghost could be the only solution. But he doesn't really believe. Right. Fucking moron. These believers are just as dumb as conspiracy nutters. They have the same MO. |
The concept of proof is unfortunately tied to a scientific standard of verifiability and repeatability. However, these criteria are specifically tied to the natural world. Science is, after all, based upon empirical study of the natural world. Therefore, proof can never be given for an event which falls outside the realm of observable natural phenomena. By definition, the supernatural falls outside this realm.
Science tosses out alot of data that doesn't fit their models. Science is also made and created by people. People who are also highly prejudiced, biased and fiercely protective of their world views. So called supernatural events are also subject to misinterpretation, but some are genuine. The real problem is that the believers and the skeptics are arguing about a belief system. Typically, the argument usually turns out to be a semantic one. Because if any subject related to the supernatural were suddenly proven to exist, the skeptics would then claim victory on the grounds that the subject was never supernatural at all - it was natural. The believers would claim victory on the grounds that their perceptions were correct all along. History is full of instances where the science of the day failed and had to wait for technological advances before the truth could be known. Absence of proof doesn't invalidate the possibility of a supernatural cause. It simply means no proof is yet available. The mistake some people make is assuming that those who entertain the idea that there MAY be supernatural forces at work are automatically "religious nuts". I'm a staunch atheist - and my definition of supernatural (or paranormal) simply means something that occurs outside of the natural world we currently know about. It doesn't point to the existence of a deity or supreme being. A person with a truly open mind doesn't dismissively label others with differing opinions and experiences as fools, idiots and morons. The earth was flat...until 'fools' proved it was round. |
You're a fucking idiot. Stop acting like you're a critical thinker. You're not. You simply want to believe in ghosts.
|
Funny how these idiots never feel the need to prove anything. But if you don't believe them you are closed minded.
Silentknight, i saw a purple flying pig yesterday. I won't prove it but if you don't believe me you're closed minded. See how that works, imbecile boy? |

"A jar of coins moved from one room to another. It must be a ghost." Why? What happened that makes you conclude it is a ghost? Where does the theory even come from? Quote:

This is the only question that needs to be answered: what makes you think a particular event happened because of a ghost?
