lol, I was kidding. I did actually do that a while ago, as I was trying to remove the package I had just installed and wasn't thinking.

Well i had similar problem once,but on cent os where i uninstalled yum when uninstalling something else,so had to find procedure how to reinstall yum system.

Linux should have sort of a version control system for applications, would be a nice feature.

ok, I reinstalled it! just downloaded the deb package and used dpkg to install it.:

dpkg -i apt_0.7.20.2+lenny2_amd64.deb
