Did you know that there are people that have no idea who Einstein was?

You'd be surprised how many stupid people there are in this World. It's sad... And, in my experience, most of them get offended if you try to educate them, which is probably why they don't know shit about anything in the first place. Fucking monkeys.

kyro 01-15-2013 02:34 PM

created the light bulb ?

slapass 01-15-2013 02:36 PM

They must suck at trivia games. Are there other uses for knowing who he was? I like knowing this stuff but it is rarely useful.

Don't be a div. He built the Eiffel Tower.

dyna mo 01-15-2013 02:48 PM

it's all relative.

that's my theory on it anyway.

PornMD 01-15-2013 02:52 PM

No, I did not know that out of 7 billion people on this planet, there are some who do not know who Einstein is. Thank you for this amazing post.

If they've never heard the name, sure they're not familiar with his lifes work either. Shazam no idea how shit works.

So when those people look up in the sky and see the moon, they're clueless to why it's there or what path it follows. Just like animals really.

To explore and try to understand is supposed to be in intelligent species nature.

DWB 01-15-2013 02:54 PM

You need a break from monkey land bro.

what's yall's view on why Einstein eventually isolated himself from the world of physics and refused to embrace quantum mechanics?

You got the wrong guy. Einstein was the theory of relativity.
But I can turn on a light switch and wire a house but I only found out about Tesla a few months ago. So one does not equate to the other. Not sure that I have ever used Einstein for anything. I read his book though.

Agreed it is good to know, I am just not sure why.

Einstein is much more than relativity :winkwink:

Project Manager 01-15-2013 04:52 PM

Actually you do get the wrong guy. It's Newton - about the moon, and the stars, and apples.

You prob. still think that Einstein got Nobel Prize for Theory of Relativity :)

Presumably you're in Thailand - I've been there. They prob. have no idea who Hitler was either.

L-Pink 01-15-2013 04:55 PM

Einstein was a gun nut.

Alright, what did Einstein actually get his nobel prize for? Hint: It wasn't relativity.

Also, have you been through any high level physics courses?

He spent last three decades of his life trying to come up with unified theory of everything...

Newton just figured out the motion of objects. Einstein explained how gravity works(objects bending spacetime and all that), right? So I got the right guy :winkwink:

Photoelectric effect. No courses, I just like to read :)

AdultPornMasta 01-15-2013 07:41 PM

I thought that Einstein ran a string of bagel joints with his brother?

You mean I got it wrong?

It's good you like to read, that'll separate you from most people.

Nothing really surprises me, I run into people who didn't know Hitler's role in history. Given over a span of time, none of it really matters. If I want to work with somebody or have a kid with somebody red flags will go up about the person but it doesn't mean you have to treat them as subhuman.
Reading comprehension helps along with reading a lot, I've corrected several people (in private to save face) after demonstrations or talks about something they are presenting.
Read, read, read, it's a skill and passion that will serve you well throughout your life.

John-ACWM 01-16-2013 09:38 AM

Yes, it happens with many personalities, dead or alive...

bronco67 01-16-2013 10:51 AM

This is why Einstein was so smart.

He won a Nobel Prize in the early 1920's for Physics, but there was something goofy and his prize was awarded to him 1 year late or something.

Not exactly but he did have a hard time grasping it. Good wiki at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohr?Einstein_debates

Educating someone is a little aggressive - they might want you to GFY :)

The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
