A 12-gauge shotgun loaded with bird shot accidentally discharged Saturday when the owner opened its case at a gun show at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, injuring a retired sheriff's deputy and two other people, police said.

CNN is reporting that it was five people injured, not three. Jesus Christ, it's time to give people an IQ test before allowing them to own guns.

Not to defend them just because I own guns but let's get real. No matter what people do they have accidents. People fall off ladders, slip in the bathtub, wreck cars, start kitchen fires, fall from balconies, drown while swimming, etc, etc.

It would be impossible to get thousands of average citizens together doing the same thing and not have some do something stupid.
