Yet when we get a tiny bit of snow here, the place grinds to another embarrassing halt...

It's because a lot of people in the UK still get paid when they can't get to work; snow is an ideal excuse not to show up. :2 cents:

Yes, but the transport system just goes into meltdown. Which gives people a good excuse most of the time anyway...

It did do the other day for me when it started snowing as I was driving up towards the M6; one accident and that was it the traffic came to a standstill. Where I live by the coast, most the time we don't get the snow, I can see it on the hills in the distance.

Tooo much for me thats for sure.

Go look at a map - do you realize how huge a country Russia is? What cities/areas are those pictures from?

This proves Global Warming.

those photos are from a city in the POLAR CIRCLE!

Moscow got 10 inches of snow, no big deal.

I'm aware how big Russia is, which is why I asked if "Any one else see this? Or live in Russia?" to compare where THEY are at, and where this took place on Norilsk.
