Webair...somethng major going on....
Filled out support ticket already as many accounts are effected someone please contact me asap by phone as even email is a no go
|
What's going on? care to share more info? i have dedid with them and haven't notice anything yet?
|
unable to access sites from certain ISPs, weird password FTP issues, mail issues....
|
I've been noticing some severely slow load times over the last few days. I think they had better start tightening up their game before people start jumping ship :2 cents:
|
|
Please tell me, is this another Webair success story?
|
Look, I have been with webair for ages and yes there have been a few bumps in the road but all minor. Downtime has been very little...some years not at all...overall I give them a decent grade.
I am having literal panic attacks right now and need to speak to a human as so many different account are effected and I don't know if there is a potential compromise and what to do next even outside of Webair if that is what needs to be done. |
Try livechat on their website - Mike M should be there

Mike has my number and a ticket ...responded 53 minutes ago with questions rather than calling... |
Did you CALL them?
If so did they not answer? If they didn't answer, isn't that a clue they are fucking shitty? Are you really this fucking retarded? In my opinion, only poor and/or stupid people use Webair. |

My stuff is working maybe they fixed it now.
|
They are rebranding themselves as WebError and its taking longer than expected to migrate all the accounts over to the new site.
|
Leaving Webair was one of the best decisions I have made. I was with them for over 5 years. The cause of this was literally 3+ WEEKS of downtime.
My SE rankings actually increased and income jumped immediately after moving my sites to a new host. :2 cents: |
You people are really starting to scare me away from them... I know I made some snide comments, sorry for that. Mind if I ask who you switched to?
|
I left webair for two reasons:
1. Lots of random downtime 2. Shityy blaclisted in sorbs ip ranges... and suppor just didn't give a shit about that. But that was years ago *shrug* |

I have 10 servers at Webair and have for years, if I need to speak to them I pick up the phone and call. I've been there since 2000 and never had more than a very minor issue every few years. Rock on Webair!
|
I think dey have moved onto bigger and better things, jus saw dis post on the webair FB page, not to mention all my servers still there kickin ass...:
Webair completes network upgrades in NY1 facility providing 200Gbps of dedicated capacity to its Cloud Computing cluster. NEW YORK, Jan. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Webair Internet Development Inc., a global leader in Managed Services and Cloud Hosting infrastructure has announced the completion of a series of network upgrades designed to vastly increase its cloud infrastructure's network connectivity and redundancy. The upgrades involved the installation of new Cisco and Juniper networking equipment which provide dedicated routing capabilities to its cloud computing infrastructure. The upgrades, which were performed during scheduled maintenance windows did not affect any client services, a testament to Webair's network resiliency and redundancy. The end result of the work performed is an overall increase of dedicated bandwidth of 200Gbps. The new network configuration also greatly increases the amount of traffic that can be processed and the ability to prevent and block DDoS attacks. New and existing clients can now also order cloud servers with dedicated 10GB network interfaces. The upgrade also further enhances Webair's Carrier Neutral Cloud service, which allows customers to use any bandwidth provider of their choice with Webair's cloud computing platform. "Webair's flexible network topology allows us to easily perform upgrades to stay ahead of our clients' demands while not impacting any customer services. As the lines between physical and virtual networks blur, Webair continues to enhance its network stack by providing a scalable network layer which can facilitate any hybrid cloud configuration," said Billy Choe , Senior Network Engineer, Webair. About Webair Founded in 1996, Webair is a leader in managed hosting solutions, including Managed & Secure Cloud Infrastructure for companies of all sizes and is recognized as a global leader in the industry. How many times has this same exact thing happened now? |

I will be the one to have to pay as in pay my tech to move the sites to another hosting company, which will cost me in the hundreds of dollars, estimating at 1 hour per site migration time. |

Turned out to be multiple issues, none fixed yet except passwords are now all reset.
I finally get someone late in the day that was very helpful, however I still can't see or work on any of my or my clients web sites through my DSL and good knows how many other people are blocked because of the backbone issue in NY...oh and I still get no emails either... |

While there are a few companies that hold a significant share of the adult hosting biz, none have as many negative threads as Webair. |
