Yesterday something like 17 people were murdered and over 50 injured in Iraq from a bomb. Where's all the threads and outrage about that? I don't loose any sleep at night, I honestly don't. If you are careless and reckless enough to invite terrorists into your house then you are just as guilty. If the US bombs a house to kill three terrorists and kills four innocent people, well, that's called collateral damage. And if four people get caught in the crossfire to prevent the deaths of three thousand Americans, billions of dollars in damages, and prevent a war that will uproot hundreds of thousands and effect millions more.... I'm okay with that.

In the minds of the innocent people there who were killed the "terrorists" were probably seen as people fighting for their freedom against a foreign occupation, but you seem just fine with endlessly occupying other people's countries... even if it means killing innocents because you think that will somehow prevent "the deaths of three thousand Americans." lol

That is probably part of it. It's also simply because we all get news from anywhere instantly now. Back in the day you had your local newspaper and a network news show or two. If a small shooting happened somewhere in Texas it would be unlikely that you'd even hear about it.
